What Did You Smoke Today? Cigars.

Balmoral Anejo XO Oscuro. I am a fan of oscuro wrappers and this is an excellent cigar with great flavors all the way to the end. Paired well with a Guiness, some nice Anejo tequila around a roaring fire at a friend's tiki hut in the back yard. Great weather here in Sarasota, FL - around 50...

    Bad First Experience

Here are some other good first time cigars that are quite easy...All are mildly infused. Isla Del Sol, Tabak, Fat Bottom Betty or Sweet Jane. Don't try a Padron or most other medium to full cigars at first. And... forget Gurkhas and Rocky Patels. Absolute garbage cigars.

    Bad First Experience

For a first time cigar, try something lighter. I'd recommend a Baccarat Maduro or a My Father La Flor De La Antilles. Or, try a Macanudo infused. Don't try a Padron or most other medium to full cigars at first.

    Is IF discontinued?

    Peterson Irish Flake

You should put the others up to trade - maybe can get more IF for them. The Dunhill and Cabbies are pretty popular! Good luck. Good short review, BTW.

    Out Of Stock...

In browsing various sites over the past few days, I've noticed a lot of this for several of the premier pipe tobacco brand blends. Unfortunately, nowadays it is almost expected for the HTF / Unicorns to perpetually be out of stock, but it's surprising to see complete lines of not really great...

    Muhsin Meers

I'm just beginning to research meerschaums and see this brand makes some nice looking, more traditional shapes for a reasonable price. Question is whether this brand, Muhsin, is a good one. Are there any other makes in this range that may be serviceable meers to start with?

    So - Why Meerschaum?

I've seen a few black Peterson meers - look amazing when they are in good condition. Seems like beers have climbed in price a good bit in the past few years and not nearly as many nice estates or even new ones out there.

    So - Why Meerschaum?

What is the attraction and benefits of meers? Do they get hot, more so than briars or cobs?

    How Do You Cellar?

Seems like we-re pretty much divided equally in cellar styles. I'm in the middle with a number of a few and singles/doubles of several. Like some here have commented, my goal this year is to stock only those I like and try hard to pass on the sizzle of the latest sparkly offering! On another...

    How Do You Cellar?

Meaning... What kind of cellaring do you do? I've met, through forums, a lot of different pipe enthusiasts and most do their collecting somewhat differently. It seems that we pretty much fall into one of three camps. Where do you fall? The disciplined type that plans and has just a few...

    Fans of H&H

I have been searching for a few blends that are not listed with the usual sites, such as Sunjammer. Has this one been discontinued?

Announcing Tobacco That Becomes In Stock?

Good sentiment. I just PM other members when I see stuff available that the member has mentioned they are looking for. That way, an end user gets a shot instead of the flippers. Hate to see hard to get stuff selling for 5-6 times what someone just paid for it. just my 2c

    Sarasota Pipe Meet

Look into the Gulfgate area - West End Pub has great happy hours and a nice patio area in back with a tv. Pipe & cigar friendly.

How about we make a plan to get together one of these upcoming weekends? Any suggestions when and where?

Long Time Pipe Smokers: Do You Notice Tobacco Trends?

Way too many goofy tobacco blend names! I mean, how do you tell what a blend is with an name like 'Big Bear Scratches His Fuzzy Ass On The Old Oak Tree'? Cartooney art work and a sappy name is not really appealing. rotf

Just Released from P&C: Seattle Pipe Club's Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel Aged

This may be the next challenge for Russ! Hmmmm - what would H & H name the new Bourbon-Barrel Aged Blend ??? :sher:
