New Old Pipes Into the Rotation

@fnord, Here's the Doodler, a little worse for wear but seems to be serviceable. I'll let it rest for 24 hours then give it a try. BTW, it was listed on eBay as "The Boodler" just as others in the forum have seen it. That Germanic looking "D" seems to throw a lot of sellers off.

New Old Pipes Into the Rotation

Recently cleaned up this LHS pipe. I haven't been able to find out much about it, but I like the old time classic lines. Then here's this no-name monstrosity that I think will be a favorite. It has a large deeply carved meershaum lined bowl for cool smoking on long outdoor excursions. Next...

List Your Other Hobbies / Interests

If I had the time..... My number one hobby is writing and arranging "classical" music for students and amateurs. Of course I wouldn't mind if professionals played my music, but my goal is put out accessible music for young people and to get them interested in classical music. I also enjoy...

    Bye, Bye P & C

I am a fan of P&C. They really seem to be customer focused and there are some great deals to be had from time to time. Never had a problem with the Web Site, either. Try using Chrome with adbock and see if your experience changes.

    Might Get A Second Job!

@petes03, you'd be surprised how many hospitals are ramping up their food and nutrition departments. We used to contract out for all our meals at the hospital but now have a trained staff who individually prepare and deliver meals to patients on demand. Patient satisfaction is very important now...

    Shaving

I'm pretty low maintenance. I can dry shave with a double blade disposable razor if I keep on top of my grooming every day. If I get behind a few days I just use a bit of soap and water. I also have a beard and moustache trimmer I use every few days. I don't like artificial scents on others so I...

Observations on Driving in the U.S.

Part of the problem is as pylorns says, there are a lot people here form many different areas with varying degrees of driving experience. Compound that with the variety of variations of traffic laws from state to state. Some countries I've visited, Japan in particular, expect much more from...

    Pet hate; "Snazzy Websites"

I've sold myself out to a number of focus groups in the past and present. It's good for a little extra spending cash. But what I've found fairly recently is that these companies want you to develop an emotional link with their product. It's not enough that it's a product which fits your needs...

    What Do You Think

Yes, that's one thing about eBay, just wait a bit and something better will come along. I hate to get into bidding wars.

    What Do You Think

I might go as high as $20.00 on that one, but not really what I'm looking for at the moment. Better make up your mind soon. Twenty minutes left!!!

    Antique Store Jaunt

snagstangl, I did a search on that and found a post where agnostipipe talks about doing the pipe cleaner thng. There are two very small holes above the metal tube so I assume I could do that. I'll have to give it a try!

    Antique Store Jaunt

monsterbear, I do enjoy cleaning them and at least getting them back to being useful. The ones I don't like so much I put in a drawer and will sell as a lot on eBay someday. I'm upwards of fifty pipes now, so I really should open that seller's account soon :-)
