    Antique Store Jaunt

So far I've been able to find this information on the Aero Kool: Aero Kool Web Info Evidently they were intended to be used by members of the armed forces. Now I'm a little more interested. Must dig a bit deeper.

    Antique Store Jaunt

It's been a month since I visited the little antique store down in Multonomah Village near where I live so I wasn't sure if I was going to find anything new. Well, these modest finds turned up, an "Aero Kool - Seattle" and a "Custom Made Smokemaster". the Aero Kool looks like it's been smoked...

    Old Yeller

Here's the eBay listing for the "before". -->Vintage Yello-Bole It wasn't too bad on the outside, just dirty with some buildup on the rim. I rubbed the bowl with acetone soaked cotton pads then buffed it with white diamond, a little hand buffing on some spots, then a few coats of carnauba wax...

    Molto Dolce?

I just got my order with two more tins of MD. It's very enjoyable on all accounts. Another aromatic I've recently taken a liking to is McClelland No. 401 Darkest Caramel. Not at all the same, but I like it. Light it up and take for a walk you will have strangers coming up to you asking you what...

    WDC Wellington Pipes?

The most I've ever paid for a jumbo Wellington was a little over twenty bucks. Add onto that price the afternoon you will spend cleaning it up. I enjoy doing that, so it's actually a plus for me if the pipe looks like trash when it gets to me.For a shiny one like that I imagine somebody might...

Einstein's Desk the Day After His Death

Not only Ford was a NAZI sympathizer but many other celebrities and political figures. Charles Lindberg was one. Eugenics had contemporary scientific approval and was practiced in the United States on the mentally ill and minorities. I would hope we are more enlightened these days, but I wonder?

Anyone Looked at Themselves in a Mirror with their Pipes?

I'm more practical than image conscious. If I'm taking a pipe outside for a walk with the dog I'll choose one that will be comfortable and last as long as I'm out. I'm too old to care what I look like anymore :D I'll ask the dog which one I should take.

    Old Yeller

I had the day off and decided to spend part of it working on another $9.99 eBay special. It's this pre-WWII Yello-Bole with the spiffy propeller logo. You wouldn't believe the pile of black pipe cleaners, cotton pads and Q-Tips it took to get it to look like this. For a 70 year old pipe I'd say...

    Good Little Cigars/Cigarillos

Both my sons (24 and 26) seem to like those Moontrance cigarillos or minis.

I hope that B-25 bomber pilot got a medal for that mission. What a shot!

    I've Reen Robbed!

That crane needs to learn sustainability practices! What can you do to protect your fish in the future? An enclosure probably isn't practicable.

    Humble Excellence

Continuing my pipe journey along the path of what many call "low end", I've recently put this good ol' Willard pipe into my rotation after doing a bit of refurbishing. For under ten bucks off of eBay this pipe delivers in every important category. It's light, balanced and comfortable to clench...

    Lenten resolution

As a fellow Roman Catholic I understand your question. I think sacrificing something you enjoy the most would give you the most benefit as well as making you appreciate the enjoyment of it after Easter.

Need Advice on 8 Old Pipes

It's difficult to tell exactly what your asking. A little punctuation and some pictures might help. :-) I suppose it depends on how quickly you want to get rid of them. If they are in really good shape and appealing to collectors I'd say put them up separately on eBay. If they are in poor...

    Just Thinking

Jason, I'm a member of a lot of forums, everything from gaming to music composition, and this the one place I keep coming back to. Just a great bunch of guys here from varied walks of life who are very giving with information and support. You're one of the reasons I feel at home here. Great...

    Walt Disney Pipe

I bought a pipe in the Main Street tobacco store. It's a meerschaum-like substance. Seems too heavy to be the real deal and is not a great smoker. As you can see it's carved in the likeness of Walt himself. Ok, maybe not. It's at least 35 years old though. No markings of any kind.

Should I return this newly purchased pipe?

I have several pipes like that. Can't you just take the stem off and pass the pipe cleaner through the other side? If the pipe smokes well I'd just enjoy it as it is.

    Questions about a pipe

That is very strange. Those rods almost look like ejectors on a revolver! Speaking of strange pipes... I saw one at the tobacco shop the other day that had two bowls connected to one shank and stem, one bowl just ahead of the other.
