It's been a month since I visited the little antique store down in Multonomah Village near where I live so I wasn't sure if I was going to find anything new.
Well, these modest finds turned up, an "Aero Kool - Seattle" and a "Custom Made Smokemaster". the Aero Kool looks like it's been smoked once or twice. The SmokeMaster is going to be a bit more of a challenge to get into smoking shape. with all that cake build up. The stinger in that one is pretty gross. Looks like I'll be going through another bag of pipe cleaners. The grain I can see through the dirt looks pretty good.
At any rate I've been provided with hours more of cheap entertainment for twenty-one bucks.

Any backstory on the Aero-Cool? That's quite a design. I can't say it is exquisite, but it certainly is unique.
You have a great antique store. I have yet to connect with an antique store or flea market or garage sale

pipe source, but there are a number of Forums members who score well, regularly.

Those are nice looking pipes. Are you planning on cleaning them up and smoking them or just collecting? I visited the Antique Mall close to my neighborhood in Spring, Tx and found a Savinelli Capri 111 root briar. I cleaned it up and just sent it off to get a new stem fitted because I just could not save it. Buffing didn't even help. Love me some good estate pipes.

monsterbear, I do enjoy cleaning them and at least getting them back to being useful. The ones I don't like so much I put in a drawer and will sell as a lot on eBay someday. I'm upwards of fifty pipes now, so I really should open that seller's account soon :)

snagstangl, I did a search on that and found a post where agnostipipe talks about doing the pipe cleaner thng. There are two very small holes above the metal tube so I assume I could do that. I'll have to give it a try!

Tuold, the smokemaster pipes were actually designed to have the ends of folded pipe cleaner in those two holes. I have read reviews of these pipes with varying degrees of success with the pipe cleaner filter idea.
