Finally Got My Horn

I've been wanting and looking for a horn for a while and they are all just too darn expensive. I got a chance on the 'Bay recently with a horn listed as a Bosi. Didn't look like a Bosi to me but it did look nice, the price was right and I'd dealt with the seller before so I popped for it. It came today and it turned out to be a Mark Brissett which is not a problem as I've heard good things about his pipes. It was clean, barely used, and took less than 10 minutes to get in smoking shape. Now to let it dry and run a few bowls of tobacco through it. Here's hoping it's a good smoker.
The list of pipes that I have to choose between to take with me might just have gotten tougher.

Very nice! I've wanted a true horn shape for quite a while, but like you, I find most of them to be too expensive. Maybe someday. Congrats on a nice pipe!

Your castoffs have become a huge part of my 21 day rotation.

Great looking pipe, I like the little bit of birdseye on the bottom of the bowl. I've been looking to get a horn myself, but damn, my list of pipes that I want is too long already haha

It's a horn, and a panel. What I like best is the understated way it carries off its rather

majestic curvature and big-bowl look. It's easeful. No braggadocio nor showmanship,

but a major statement nonetheless. Handsome work, that.

Have you decided on how many pipes will be travelling with you? That CANNOT be an easy decision.
BTW- I am loving that Boswell I bought off of you. It just LOVES flakes

Thanks guys. Had a couple smokes in this one so far and it does really well. The pipe isn't fully broken in but it's getting there and it gets better with every smoke.
I don't leave until July but it feels like it's only a few days away. I've limited myself to 5 wood pipes and a couple of cobs. That makes it incredibly hard to decide and the only ones that have secured places so far are a Alden billiard, a Tinsky morta, a Barling's Make billiard and probably a Curtz. Past that I have a few different pipes, including Comoys, Sasienis, a Blatter, an Estella and a couple Petes vying for a place. I bet the final number goes up by one or 2 at least because this is one hell of a hard choice. I figure each time I come home I'll take another couple pipes until I have a perfect rotation there. Right before I go I'll post up a pic or 2 of the final choices for my rotation.
