Never owned a horn-shape tobacco pipe, but recently at the prompting of a Forums member I checked out an unfinished but stamped Sav 920, which I would have pegged as an ample Dublin but which is described as a horn. I'm still waiting for the right moment, but I think it should be a good combination, the horn shape and the pleasure of watching the unfinished pipe "finish" itself over time as it changes from a slightly raw woody look to a golden walnut glow, as have other unfinished Savs. Sadly, these pipes seem to be going off-sale for now, as Sav bids for lower priced pipe buyers with its Rossi line, nice pipes but all produced with a finish. Two of my earliest pipe purchases were unfinished Savs, which are still going strong after thirty plus years.
