    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Nearly forgot the photo op. I mix this with Gold Block in small batches and jar it, ritual first smoke of the day in a cob. Fading light, but it is pretty red.

People Who Back Into Parking Spaces...

Hell in a cell, he went straight through an announcers table and wound up at your BBQ? That's fantastic, feeding a meme

People Who Back Into Parking Spaces...

It's ok if they can drive. The trouble starts when... I was watching a thing where someone took their car to the mechanic, every time they put it in Drive and set off, the engine stalled. Turned out, the D was actually O on a manual gearshift, i.e. 5th or Overdrive. This person should not...

PSA: Rattray's back in stock in the UK

Just got a HotW order into GQ. Thanks for the heads up, this will be a treat.

    What the... 🤢

No wonder he always sounded as if he was just about keeping it together.

    Red Virginia recommendations

A couple I've been smoking in the UK, albeit not pure red, available Stateside - C&D Opening Night, red and bright blend. F&T Blackjack, reds and oranges

    TAD Acquisitions 2025

Couple more DNR, 50g GH Louisiana, 10g sample of McConnell Scottish Flake and a clutch of snuffs - gonna pop a little McChrystal's Aztec (chocolate) tin.

Erinmore Flake, dizzy after more than 1 hour of smoke

That's exactly as it should be. The burley component delivers the nic by the end; if you try Peterson University Flake, you'd have a parallel experience with a bigger hit on the finish. It's a feature, not a bug. Edit: St. Bruno Flake, same but even more.

    I like Virginia Flakes, but . . .

I wouldn't call B20 unflavored, tbh. To me, it's fairly revolting and I have some to pass on to some unwitting victim.

What Is the Future of Pipesmoking for Younger Generations?

There's a broader curiosity on my part, owing to the injustice of our health warnings. Clif High has said some interesting stuff about the effect of belief on the "event stream" which flows from the future towards us. It is his belief that this "well" has been intentionally poisoned since 1937...

Per Jensen with New Blends on Radio Show of August 26, 2025

Ooh, I wonder if Brothers In Arms is anything like HH Acadian Perique....

    Nanner Boats

What's in the bed? Something unmentionable?

Rattray’s HOTW, Marlin Flake and Old Gowrie

Old Rattray was only telling half the story; the full recipe was closely guarded, is my interpretation of the old literature. I can't honestly believe the trio's (HotW, OG, BC) ingredients now are completely new formulations for established names.

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Famed even way back in the day; Captain Beefheart was a 1970s customer.

    TAD Acquisitions 2025

[Well hot dang, dropped this in the wrong thread. Mods?] I've decided to pretend that I've run out of Cabbies, although I'm enjoying it more than ever. So it's time for a short break until I throw in the towel and open some more. From August 2023 according to the tin code, something else.

    Player's Navy Cut

The numerate blend, Players, "It's the tobacco that counts".

    Still here.

"She was only the tobacconists daughter but she'd shag on the counter for $10" Grats on the successful hybridization, young chap.

    SmokingPipes.com killed VIP’s

From the thread title, I thought they'd wandered into Wall Street with an AR and become people's heroes. Alas, I too am disappointed.

    I'm Apologizing Now.

Well. Some years back, I and my siblings were selling the parental nest and we had several bidders. We'd kind of settled on a young couple looking to start a family who offered fair price, when a late middle-aged couple banged in a substantially higher bid, wanting to add the property to their...
