    I saw some kind of fancy tin of Peterson this week. Don't know what the blend was but the tin was green and was about the size and shape of a large cell phone. It would have been a dandy for toting any blend you cared to. EDIT: Just looked it up, it is Peterson Special Reserve.

    My BIL has a homemade pipe out of apple wood. He really likes it, a guy he works with made it for him. I would assume pear and apple wood have very similar characteristics. I have burned both in the wood stove, it can be hard to tell them apart.
