    I'm a balsa and charcoal filter man, I like the slight resistance in the draw too. Maybe something you just get the feel for.

    Tjs garden, not sure how they are marketed over there but the 'Lakelands' come under the Gawith and Hoggarth banner over here. Mostly loose packed.

    Using Filters - or Not?

    Use an adaptor with my Savinelli 6mm because the balsa filters go spongey far too quickly with some tobaccos. Seems against popular opinion but I don't mind the charcoal filters in my 9mm pipes. I agree with deckpiper though, tastes and preferences can change pretty rapid.
