Egg McMuffin No Cheese, Large Decaf With

McDonalds is now working on automating the ordering process so that laggard will soon by out of a "living wage" job. When I asked one of our new technicians to perform a needed task today I actually got a lecture on the subject, "Someday people people will only hafta to do the stuff they want...

    Speeding ticket

The last speeding ticket I got cost me the equivalent of an entire day's pay. I vowed never to never do that again. (Or at least not get caught doing it)

?? The Meerschaum Lined Briar ??

I've got quite a few meer lined briars in my collection. These three are estate Whitehalls. I'm more likely to take up the two non-sitters just because I like the feel of them better with the wider bits. They are all made in France. No ghosting problems with these and with the lining and thick...

    Guns!

Make a circle with your thumb and index finger and hold it at arm length in front of you. Put a distant object in the circle and center it looking with both eyes. With your other hand, cover your left eye. If the target object is now longer centered you are probably left eye dominant. Cover your...

    Guns!

While I see a shotgun being the safest firearm in terms of not shooting your neighbors by accident with your automatic rifle, I found it unsuitable because you have to keep it sitting out somewhere accessible. I just wasn't comfortable with that. I guess it depends on what kind of threat you...

    It's already been a year ...

Cobguy, I joined the same time as you. I echo your thoughts 100%. This is the best forum on the Net. A lot of great people here, for sure.

I Finally Figured Out the Secret!

I love it when the magic happens. Have to say I never experienced any kind of soapiness with SL. However, as others have said, I have found other lat blends since that I like better. (and are cheaper to boot)

    Guns!

I don't have any expert advice to give, but this is my primary home defense/carry weapon, a Ruger GP100 357 mag with the 3" barrel. I've been carrying this for many years in an Old World holster. It's a little large for some, but I've gotten used to it. My wife carries a Taurus model 65 revolver.

    Peterson Tankard Find

What an awesome score! Makes me want to hit the antique store circuit again but I doubt I'd find anything as interesting as that.

    PAD Unsmoked Straight (?) Grain

Very nice catch. I bought an LHS Purex bent bulldog from the same seller. He's got some other goodies that may be of interest..... Naw, I'm way over my PAD budget for November already. They are all yours, newbroom!

    Giddy as a Schoolboy!

Yep, nickel bands are fine. And this "new silver" has a history all its own as well. However, you can't beat sterling for that creamy luster.

    Vintage Kaywoodie Boxed Set

A stunning collection! I could stare at those Kaywoodies all day long, they are so gorgeous. As long as you plan on keeping the set I'd say smoke them.

    Another P & C sale

WhiteKnight is a blend I consistently enjoy though it is not my daily smoke. If it were available in bulk and a little cheaper I'd probably switch. Always nice to take advantage of sales to stock up!

    GO VOTE

As one being accused of being on the right (I'm actually a Libertarian) I do like the convenience of vote by mail. However I do miss seeing my neighbors volunteering at the polling places. Also, we still have the same problems of voter fraud and apathy not to mention those who will wait until...

    Giddy as a Schoolboy!

    Giddy as a Schoolboy!

Here's my first LHS which might be a lot older than the Sterling and got me interested in collecting them. The marks on the silver band are anchor, lion and star. I suppose I can try and look that up....

My P&C order is leaving ... Hawaii.

cmdrmcbragg wrote: I pretty much have the same problem. I was castigated yesterday for getting a pipe in the mail "every damned day". That was totally unwarranted. I actually get two or three pipes every other day.

    Now I am confused

Rosewood is a Brazilian hardwood. I have some recorders made from rosewood and they have a beautiful reddish brown grain which I don't see in that picture. I suspect the pipe is made of some sort of sawdust and resin. I'd be wary.

    Giddy as a Schoolboy!

I've been collecting estate LHS pipes for over a year now and have found something to like about everyone of them. They are good quality, solid pipes. Tonight, while I was looking over my ebay feed of newly listed pipes, I saw an unsmoked LHS Sterncrest Sterling in the original box and sock...

How Many Unsmoked Pipes Do You Have?

Unsmoked: Actually I have a few more I just have not got around to yet. Most of those I have marked to resell at some point and I don't want to have to do another major cleaning on them. I've got around 120 pipes now so I'm not hurting for new smoking experiences. I don't have as many as...
