Pipe as a Movie Prop
If your project requires an actor to smoke a pipe it's really hard for me imagine an actor who won't do some research and make a few sacrifices for that part. A professional actor wouldn't hesitate, I would think, to actually smoke a pipe if it were part of the character. I say get that guy off...- tuold

Doodling Around
Thanks Fnord, I think I will keep that Doodler on the sidelines for now. It's going to sit right next to my Doodler Jr. for awhile. Speaking of stars, my next project is a three star "Pipe by Lee". I'll search for what that little thing is all about and work on it tomorrow. -

I know several forum members have Doodler pipes. This one is my second one which I just finished doing a refurb on tonight. For a big pipe it feels pretty good in the hand and is comfortable to clench. -

Is taste overrated?
I smoked Captain Black for years and as others have said, it is very mild. Once you smoke a higher quality aromatic you will find it's like you've been eating Big Macs all this time when you could have had char broiled steak.- tuold

I'm no expert, but that isn't exactly a choice cut of briar, is it? That fill or flaw on the rim would be a deal breaker for me if that were a new pipe. Is that typical for quality for that line? -
