    Favorite Bulk Burley?

Uhles Blend 00 or Perfection Plug Burley

    Mac Baren Vanilla Cream.

Haven't had the flake, but I like the loose cut version and hear the flake is probably a notch better. Plus there's something about a cob that just makes any blend I've tried seem a bit better...

    Briar Fox - Some Information

Good stuff, Briar Fox. Reminds me I have a tin with a little age on it around here someplace. Probably should order more. Great Virginia pipe tobacco

    Altadis Sale at SP

I looked at those new Altadis blends when I first got the E-mail but didn't pay attention to the price. Thanks for pointing it out - that's a great deal. May have to order a couple to try (TAD strikes again!!!).

    Wilke 191

While you might be new to pipe tobaccos, you certainly were fortunate in finding one of the terrific small pipe tobacco blenders and one fine blend. Aromatics from a place like vtpipes.com are wonderful examples of what treasures these blenders are. Try any of their blends that sound...

    New Blends

Whatever you do, don't miss trying McClelland 5100 Red Cake. Rub it out so it's the same size/consistency as the OTC type blends. Pack it loose, puff slowly. Basic sweet Red Virginia.

    Lanes LL-7

I'm happy to see LL-7 making a comeback. When it was discontinued about 5 years ago, I stocked up. This is a terrific flavorful mild aromatic that's very smokable. A pipe tobacco in the same vein as 1Q, RLP-6, or the fabulous Trout Stream. I often read criticisms of pipe tobaccos like this...

    The New Capstan Blue Flake

Haven't tried the new version of Capstan Blue, but the old one is fabulous!

Just over 5 bucks per oz.

    Va/Per Blends

There are so many great VaPers. Here are a few (among many) that I enjoy & come to mind immediately: McConnell Red Virginia Superb Solani 633 Orlik Golden Sliced Reiner Long Golden Flake McClelland 2015 Peretti Park Square pipesandcigars.com Virginia Spice, Anniversary Cake, LJ Heart...

What is Your Sweetest Tobacco, Your Dessert !!

First one (among many I'm sure) that comes to mind - Uhle's Hunt Club

    Captain Black Dark

I bit - too good a deal to pass up. Look forward to trying it. Thanks Russ!

Got My First VaPer: Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake

Thanks for your review. LNF is a terrific VaPer as a bargain price.

    Sticking With Aros For Now

I'm an unabashed smoker of aromatic pipe tobaccos and proud of it. While I"m a huge fan of the aromatics from Uhles, Boswell, Peretti, vtpipes, and Milan Tobacconists, they are perhaps a bit more expensive than standard bulk aromatics. There are some terrific bulk aromatics - Lane RLP6 & LL7...

    Any McConnell Recommendations?

I really like McConnell's Red Virginia Superb & Glen Piper

    Orlik Golden Sliced

    OGS = good stuff!

    Dan Tobacco?

Haven't had the Black Velvet but I really like the Sweet Vanilla Honeydew. I also think Milonga is terrific & Blue Note is another great tasting sweet aromatic. All three have mainly a Virginia base and I think the VA's come through quite well.

    JM Boswell Visit

Christmas Cookie, No Bite DeLite, and Rum River are terrific aromatics.

    Edward G. Robinson's Blend

I haven't tried the EGR blend (yet) but have to add to your excellent comments regarding negative reviews that show up on tobaccoreviews.com It's frustrating to read that reviewers don't like a particular tobacco even though they frequently mention they don't typically like that type of blend...

    Help Selecting Aro's Please

I smoke aromatics on a regular basis and also really like VaPers. When it comes to aromatics, I'm really biased toward some smaller blenders that do their own special recipes. Look at the websites for Uhles, Milan tobacconists, Boswell, pipeworks and wilke (Vtpipes.com), peretti, and...
