I doubt that's the reason. I'd wager if woman aren't staying (for even short stays) there are a few people that don't know how to be civil and have left some private messages that would curl our hair if we read them. I could be jumping to conclusions, based on what's happened on other forums I've been on. Where a small minority of guys either jumped into the private messages with this sad assumption that they were going to score or worse with messages stating that this is a place for guys. Although that is precisely what happened on a few of the other forums I used to belong to that where made up of almost all dudes. And yes I got to see the messages or screen shots. And the saddest part is I am sure everyone would be happier getting rid of the sleaze and misogynists. Hopefully I am completely wrong and there aren't one or two fellows here who ruin things for everyone.
What you've described I think that falls under precisely what was expected. And would explain people slowly posting less and then eventually disappearing more of a fading out not a mass exodus that seems to just happen one day.
I hope I am wrong but I've seen exactly what I described happen on a few forums. And it really was just a handful of really sad individuals who felt that the world revolved around them and their wants. And one of the sad things was the amount of time they could dedicate to ruining the conversation and forum almost as if they had no life outside of the internet. And if I am right seriously report those guys I'd rather be rid of two faced snakes then literally anyone else.
Kevin/mods are very good about making sure that most fires don't start and quickly putting out those that do. I doubt male/female agitation would do much damage.

Thankfully I have not had to deal with that issue. The brothers in all the pipe groups / forums that I belong to have never done that. They're respectful and very kind and always just willing to help and answer questions. No complaints here from my end. I've had issues with some people who stole my pictures and posted them on other sites without my consent but I don't think those are true brothers of the briar or leaf in my opinion.

This has got to be the first introduction thread that's gone to 5 pages in a little over a dayIt's my fault! More women should be pipesmokers then this would happen more often

Oh really? Perhaps more ladies should become pipesmokers and join here then it would happen more often ☺️??

You'd be trading snow for volcanoes, tropical storms, and tsunamis. I love heat and humidity but hurricanes have kept me from moving to Louisiana, and I love it there.

Hey, I’ve lived here a long time, and never once had any of the above, just one Tsunami warning once! LOL ?

It’s a lot tamer and calmer here in terms of weather, than a lot of the Continental USA, and World, quite boring when it comes to weather out here!

Yes, Hurricanes do blow by here often, but Kauai is the one that typically gets it.

The Tropics of Hawaii, the Weather has a lot to do with why the excitement of Hawaii, in the world’s eyes, for those that have experienced it, meaning you see very little change in the weather out here. ? ? ☀️

You’ve been watching to many shows! LOL rotf

P.S. My life on Hawaii, 95% Sun, 5% Rain, and to be honest, it does get bloody boring too! LOL

I'm sure this will not happen and everyone will be nice ??
this site is pretty good about people being nice to each other. I think personally the worst thing I've encountered here is some mild rudeness, which for the internet is pretty rare. And the mods are pretty great too. You might not agree with their choices but they do line up really well with the terms as they've laid them out. Which I've been on forums where that isn't the case the mods on some other sites would for example let political posts they agreed with fly and smoosh others. And if anyone isn't nice just remember no one else agrees with their meaniness.

I hate heat and humidity. I can deal with low temps. You can put more layers on. I also hate the sweating because you're sitting outside. I've been compared to a husky as far as my reactions to weather.

I love hot places and I would move there ASAP if I could. It's hard to smoke a pipe or cigar under a snowstorm ? but today wasn't so bad I went for a walk and smoked my corncob pipe it was only snowing a little bit ☺️

This is NOT Mississippi, Louisiana or the Deserts of Nevada and California! LOL rotf

?? News Flash!

A lot of Hawaii is not hot, or very humid. There are many places that are cool and wet. ?

All over the Hawaiian Islands, the weather varies!

ALOHA! ? ? ☀️

@Cigar Ash Queen

Have you found a lot of women smoking pipes where you live?

I found it interesting in my traveling, how there are still places out in the world, where it is common to see women smoking pipes. The first place for me outside of the USA, to see women smoking a pipe, was in the Solomon Islands.

The West and Western Perception, in so many places is odd in regards to a woman smoking a cigar or pipe.
