Nope. A skypilot of a different breed -"Chaplain". I began and ended my career with the Happy Hooligans, a FW of the NDANG. In my civilian career I taught at NDSU in the Religion Department. I worked in PACAF as ANG Command Chaplain, then State Chief of Chaplains for ND before retirement. I...

***What Are You Smoking, March 2021?***

Damn! Why do does a pipe that smokes beautifully with a tobacco that tastes so good have to end. A metaphor for life?

Thank you! As an amateur pipemaker who thought about going into the profession in the 70s when I worked in a B&M pipeshop, but chose to pursue a career in the AF, I will look forward to my next trip to Minneapolis and a visit to his store. Our country slowly driving such artist out of business.

***What Are You Smoking, March 2021?***

Absolutely beautiful GBD - museum quality. I sold GBDs in the 70s and it makes me proud of their quality.

    Hand Cut Stems

I have lived in Fargo for 40+ years and never visited the Lewis shop. And this from one who has been in many pipeshops world wide, from Davidoff's in Geneva to Dunhill's in London. It just adds truth to the old adage that we tend not to visit what's in our own backyard.

    My Pipe Smoking Chair

I studied with Mike Dunbar at the Windsor Institute in Hampton in, NH in 2003/04. Windsors are very comfortable - one of the reasons they are still around after 300 years.

    My Pipe Smoking Chair

I served in the Air Force for 30 years. Coins from different Commands & commanders.

    My Pipe Smoking Chair

I worked most of the winter making this Windsor chair. From tree to finished chair. I veneered the side arm with Walnut burl edged with Yellowheart. It makes a fine place in my library to smoke my pipes.

    Please Post Nostalgia Pipe Ads!

In 1995 I was in Harrod's cigar humidor where I picked out a selection of Hoyo de Monterey Cubans. I paid the keeper of the humidor and as I waited for my wife the gentlemen keeper asked me what was wrong with Americans? I asked if he could be more specific. He said he had heard that in the...

    Please Post Nostalgia Pipe Ads!

I have it in a frame in my management so may not be to clear. A 1932 ad for Four Roses and Dunhill pipes. I like the curb attendant in front of Dunhills.
