This thread got me thinking: How many Canadian/Lovat shapes do I have? It is a shape I like, obviously! Here is a mixture of Barling, GBD, Charatan, Savinelli, Diebel, and my own Benchmades
Welcome from Fargo, North Dakota (Northwest of the "Faces"). When I was in Belfast in 2016 in a pub drinking Guinness the bar tender asked from where I hailed. I found that saying Faces got a shake of the head rather then a blank stare.
Solano Silver Flake 2011 vintage in one of my Benchmade Pipes circa 1975 - a Volcano. Pipe stand & tamper all from the same block of briar. 360 degrees of straight grain.
Use the pumice/oil working it in. Then use a paper towel to remove any pumice. The with you finger apply and rub the bit with a drop of oil and polish. I just use the wheel because I have them. Let me know how it works.

I never appreciated Burley until I smoked a bowl of Edgeworth. I don't remember whether it was flake or ready-rub, but after that I added a number of 14 oz tins to my stash and tap into some of it from time-to-time. Too bad its no longer available. It changed my mind about White Burley.
