I think, if I am not mistaken, that is a Wellington you have in year hand. Am I right?
I've long admired those WDC Wellingtons, particularly the meers and briars smoked by "Angel Eyes", but this is an Italian made pipe stamped Whitehall with a slotted faux p-lip mouthpiece that accepts balsa filters. I'm not sure if my grandpa smoked it more than maybe once, as it looked relatively clean and uncaked when I received it.

Late 19th cent. GBD with unmarked white metal (silver) trumpet mount / ivory stem - a material used along with amber and horn for all pipe stems until the late 1870s when vulcanised rubber took over for all but the most expensive pipes
