    McClelland: A Philosophical Question

I’d at least try one to see if I wanted to keep the rest or change them into tobacco I prefer.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Bad Nun II is good too. It’s basically ready rubbed almost as if the perique is mixed with the flake Bad Nun after the fact. Bad Nun comes in whole flakes that are broken up a bit because they’re bagged, not boxed. Can’t wait for my next order.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Nice order there. I think I see Bad Nun II. Did you order regular Bad Nun? I think it’s my favorite tobacco.

Sutliff Perique TS-20 vs Blender's Bench Vacherie Perique?

If you want unadulterated go with D&R. The blenders bench will be absolutely unadulterated and his perique is pretty much the source for all other pipe tobacco Perique. If you get a chance, try his different varietals to see which you prefer.

Coniston Cut Plug in the US vs UK

It’s excellent so definitely try it. I assume it’s the same but I could be wrong.

Delays With Peretti 150th Anniversary Flake

Hopefully you can tame that bite. Sometime these bite like crazy where other people don’t get that and sometime others report it but I don’t get it at all. If it bites too much it just totally ruins it.

Delays With Peretti 150th Anniversary Flake

Did you smoke it yet? This one is interesting. Did you pick up the wine (maybe port) like Scottish flake had?

I'm Needing Some Help w/GH&C Cherry Blends

Cherry cream flake to me taste of more cream than cherry. Actually smelling tobacco it smell strongly like cherry.

    Battle Of The Bulk Virginias

A serious answer, though it’s atypical, Synjeco Bad Nun. It’s unlike anything else. Identical or close to it to G&H Westmorland Slices and somewhat similar to SG Lakeland Dark but without the burley so it fits.

    McClelland 2010. ;)

    Preferred SG Blend?

I have. I don’t remember much about it. It didn’t leave much of an impression. It has basically the same description as Commonwealth. I suspect it’s the same thing.

St. James & Full Virginia Plug

That’s probably true. I think it would take care of itself though. The online retailers would have no trouble selling the 250g plugs. After all, many have gone to just selling the 500g packages of the G&H blends. The market has just gone in that direction. The B&Ms that don’t want to...

St. James & Full Virginia Plug

Are you going to have trouble getting all the tobacco you’ve accumulated back into the UK? Seems like they wouldn’t want pallets of tobacco coming in. ;)

    8 oz or $750!

A good way to do it other than visual inspection is to weigh it and compare with a known weight of a good tin. You’d have to get that from someone here.

    McClelland 2010?

That doesn’t look like 2010 at all. Looks more like ribbon than broken flake. Also, near the end, Mcclelland flakes became less and less broken. I recently ordered “5100” but I got a light aromatic. I’m pretty sure it was McClelland but not 5100. At this point I wouldn’t buy any McClelland...

Mail Call, TAD In Full Effect..

Bad Nun I is hands down my favorite blend. It is similar if not the same as G&H Westmorland Slices. I’d love to do another order as well but that shipping. I also don’t have an AMEX card so I have to pay wire transfer fees. If you want, let me know when you’re ordering and we can share the...

Mail Call, TAD In Full Effect..

Make sure you don’t just keep them there. They’ll be fine for quite a while because they are plugs but I’d harbor Mylar then before too long. Mylar works particularly well for plugs.

California Customers at P&C...It Has Begun.

That’s awesome! Congratulations you’re doing it right.

California Customers at P&C...It Has Begun.

Signature on delivery is annoying but is the least of my worries. I can see it being a big deal for those that commute, a lot of people in California are stuck in traffic for too long, but otherwise not a big deal.

Quick Question About SG Hansom Flake

I got 6 tins. Two were not concave on the bottom. Those two the tin came off easily. I jarred those and mylared the rest of the tins whole.
