I guess this would also mean tobaccopipes and cupojoes will go away or all be the same thing since Sutliff bought both out a few years ago and they already have p&c/CI.
Possibly, or STG keeps or sells them. It kind of depends on if they want to own a storefront.I guess this would also mean tobaccopipes and cupojoes will go away or all be the same thing since Sutliff bought both out a few years ago and they already have p&c/CI.
I like a few STG products. My allegiance can easily be bought. When Pipes Magazine is assimilated by the STG blob, everyone who posted in this thread will be banned for life. Or maybe you'll be given the choice to become chattel.
Did I say that Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake and Proper English are the bomb? Yes, they are! All hail our new STG overlords!I like a few STG products. My allegiance can easily be bought.
Is Tabac Manil owned by any of the big boys?
Stokkebye won’t be affected? What about Newminster 400 SNF?Did I say that Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake and Proper English are the bomb? Yes, they are! All hail our new STG overlords!
I hate to be a downer, but those artisan blenders are getting their ingredients from, in large part, Sutliff. So...we'll see what develops. On the positive side of things, there are a growing number of good artisan blenders, so I don't see our choices dwindling too much in the future - baring political agendas to ban continue to gain traction.
STG owns the Peter Stokkebye brand, while Mac Baren makes Newminster.Stokkebye won’t be affected? What about Newminster 400 SNF?
That means though that the ENTIRE Capstan fan club will go away with this buyout… unless they know better than to alter famous blend/tins of tobacco.
What are the chances that STG will keep both it's Assens and Mac Barens production plants going in Denmark? I suspect production of MB blends will be moved to Assens.STG bought Lane, where some P&C blends were manufactured, in 2011 and has since moved all production to its Assens, DK factory.
They'd have to hand back their MBAs if they don't consolidate! That's Mergers & Acquisitions 101!What are the chances that STG will keep both it's Assens and Mac Barens production plants going in Denmark? I suspect production of MB blends will be moved to Assens.
This is pure speculation, BUT…What are the chances that STG will keep both it's Assens and Mac Barens production plants going in Denmark? I suspect production of MB blends will be moved to Assens.
