***What Are You Smoking, November 2021?***

A mixture of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend and Five Bros in a J. Everett Comission panelled shank sandblast lovat/billiard. I wouldn't mix the two again, EGR is much better alone.

    Any Love for Penny Farthing?

I don't think I've experienced any covid-related tasting changes. I'm in a profession that requires me to get tested regularly as a result of being in contact with the less-than-healthy, and I've never tested positive, despite being exposed to many covid-positive persons. Despite all the...

***What Are You Smoking, November 2021?***

My first bowl ever of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend, in an Ali-carved Reverse Calabash Meerschaum.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2021?***

I've had a similar experience. I tried hitting it with a food processor contraption to make the cut finer and meld better. Seemed to work. I found it was way too inconsistent, and I usually don't care about consistent.

    Dedicated pipes and flavor

In my experience, the water flushing technique even further imparts the unique "ghost" of a blend into a specific pipe, and at a faster rate. All good things, IMO.

Finally Done Building My New Pipe Room

Very jealous of your guys' smoking spots, but it gives me motivation for the future to have something similar. Well done.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2021?***

I've been way too busy, and I've had not a single pipe in the last 3 days, until tonight that is. Back to back with the following: First, Granger in this little Kaywoodie Relief Grain Pot Then a mixture of Five Bros and Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a BBB Special Make Christmas 1989 Bulldog...

    Watch City's "Rouxgaroux" In-Stock

The only reason I'm not smoking Rouxgaroux now, is because I have several Virginia blends with some significant age to go through. Otherwise it was the best "Fresh" VaPer I've ever had.

Just To See If I Could

I saw that and thought about your previous collection. It went to the right home, knowing that you'll bring it back to its former glory.

Should I Care about this Drilling by Castello?

I'd post a photo with the shank of the stummel visible from the top.

    Perique Recommendations?

Try D&R Rimboche AP or SJ, not heavy in the perique but a great showcase of it. GL Pease Haddo's Delight is no slouch in the perique department and offers and interesting Va/Bur/Per + Rum option. Haunted Bookshop is a good example of a Perique-driven blend where the Va and Burleys don't take...

    Mild/Virginia-esque Cigars

I will recommend specific cigars, based on your criteria: Diamond Crown - Julius Caeser Arturo Fuente - 8-8-8 Candela, or Flor Fina 8-5-8 One I've been meaning to try, that might fit your bill is the Sobremesa Brulee.

***What Are You Smoking, October 2021?***

Can't wait to read the review. I've been loyal, on a continual basis to this Bruno Nuttens Bing. A&C Peterson Escudo has been the main blend. About 7 or so coins left.

    Cosmic's Secrets To Marriage

I know my myself, and have yet to seriously consider marriage. I know I will never bring any children into this world, and my lady (4 years together) is on the same page. If we continue to work and play well enough to stay together, it's a possibility. Until then, I'm doing me, she's doing her...

    MClelland Cellars

I came into pipe smoking as McClelland's was coming to and end. I wasn't on forums or digging into what the "popular" connoisseur pipe blends were. I bought and struggled with 1Q, then Orlik Golden Sliced, HH ODF, and so on. My poor technique and lack of experience made it hard to get off the...

    Kaywoodie No Codes

FYI I have a kaywoodie White Briar in storage that has a similar size/shape /stinger combo that is also hard to find info on. Despite thorough restoration I doubt it would ever be a good smoker. While Kaywoodie was known mostly for three and four hole stingers, I believe we share what I call the...

    Kaywoodie No Codes

Lol Thanks for the laugh, I'm not surprised you thought someone added them, but believe it or not, that's how the came from Kaywoodie. Its called "Lady Briar". Very few exist, certainly not in great condition for obvious reasons. I couldn't tell you much about the age other that I'd guess it's...

    C&D Burley Flakes Ranking

I would also recommend 1 & 2. Burley flake #1 is one of around a handful of tins I've finished so far this year.

    J. Everett 2021 Halloween Pipe Arrives!???‍♂️

Awesome stuff, what a cool idea. Two years in a row y'all have come together to make the coolest Halloween pipes I've seen.
