1-OJK Blu
2-Pegasus
3-Haddo's (yep, I know Haddo's Delight is by GLP and is also a VaPer but it's got that white burley in it, too--that scratches my itch in the top 3 choices for me)

These are some of my favorites so far as well. I was asking specifically about the C&D “Burley Flake” blends, none of which I have had.

I effing adore the Burkey Flakes. I like 1 and 3 best, 3 seems to be stronger nic wise, probably because of the DFK. The Virginias in these blends seem to be very good too, at least to my palate, and it goes a long way in smoothing out the burleys. The burleys are more earthy as opposed to nutty, and if you want a real Burley experience, go for 1. 2 is good too, if you don't care for perique or just want a break from it. 5 doesn't have perique either, but what it does have is a very subtle topping that actually works well. I have yet to try 4. BF1 is in my too 5 all time favorites. And you definitely need to have some nic tolerance for these, especially 3 and 1, and if you don't.... well then you will be developing it pretty quick if you continue to smoke them. Jeremy said to me that 1 & 3 are the strongest blends they make, as far as the Lady N.

Thanks for the in depth reply. I believe 1 and 2 will be my jumping off point with these. Have been smoking OJK and HH burley flake with my morning coffee and have wanted something with a different/stronger burley profile. I have a slight perique sensitivity so OJK gets to me on occasion and I need a break, and sometimes the HH is just not quite strong enough.

Yeah BF1 has a fair share of perique in it. Not overwhelming certainly, but YMMV. OJK is fairly strong, and if I'm not mistaken it has quite a bit more perique than BF1 so you should be good.

And the BFs are gonna be MUCH stronger than the HH. One thing to note too is that in my experience, you *sometimes* have to be careful about stoking the bowl hard with these flakes. As in, puffing and getting a good amount of smoke for a blast of flavor. I used to sip them carefully, but @spicy_boiii did a review on one and mentioned getting it going with lots of smoke and it opened up the flavors even more. So I tried it and it was amazing, however I have noticed that sometimes if I do that, it can start to taste ashy. I feel like it's a gamble in a way. Everyone's tastes are different though, as we always say. Enjoy em', that's damn good Burley right there.

I was sleuthing around on this subject about a year ago. People seemed to rave about #1 so I bought a few tins, but I’ve yet to try it. Interestingly, I just took a quick glance at tobaccoreviews.com and if you use their average scores as a yardstick, best to worst would be #3, #5, #2/#4, #1. For whatever that’s worth ?‍♂️
