How Many Open Tins is Too Many?
I prefer to only have about half a dozen open (jarred) tins going at once. I like to appreciate and get to know a blend before moving on to the next one. It takes me a while to work through any one tin, because half of what I smoke are my "staples" - Cater Hall, Prince Albert, etc.- Lumbridge

Cheap whiskey has been doing a great job keeping my all of my pipes clean and tasting great. Any standard 40% bottom shelf stuff will work. Small, Medium, Large Tins Or Bulk Preference
I do buy tins, but usually as a one-off just to try something. Tinned blends are too expensive for me to really stock up on. Bulk is my preference, which I heat seal in mylar. Anything I'm currently smoking through goes in wide mouth jars.- Lumbridge

Do You Own a Pipe 5” or Less in Length?
Only some cobs - a Morgan and a Devil Cutty, which are my pocket pipes. I prefer longer stemmed pipes, though honestly I don't notice a huge difference in smoke temperature between a nosewarmer and a churchwarden.- Lumbridge

Any Thoughts On C&D Redburn?
I never buy large quantities of any blend without smoking some from a small tin or bulk ounce first. I definitely agree with the others that it's a good idea to get a 2oz before committing to the 1lb block.
