Why are there so few cube cut blends?

I have found that having some other smaller ribbon cut mixed into a cube cut blend really helps the burning. It's also relevant that cube cut can be pretty damn dry and still burn well, i.e. C&D Cube Cut.

    A slightly sweeter cross blend?

Ahhhhh.... I see what you did there. Nice double entendre.

    A slightly sweeter cross blend?

I second the recommendation for Shortcut. I had not heard about Whiskey Biscuit Gravy until now... dammit, another one on the list.

Why are there so few cube cut blends?

I'm a big fan of cube cut blends, though I agree, they are in short supply. My sort of home brew go-to is C&D Cube Cut, some Black Cavendish and Perique and a bit of Burley ribbon. I toss everything except the cube cut into a blender to make it more similar in size to the cube cut, then mix it...

The Mayflower & The Pilgrim Fathers: An Astonishing Statistic.

I can trace each of my great Grandparents back to the old countries, all around the turn of the 19th century. Italy, Scotland, or Ireland. No Mayflower for us.

    Burley Burley Burley

I think that is how you make a recommendation. He asked if anyone else had suggestions. As far as whether they are "store" blends, we may have covered all the B&M's that actually blend their own tobacco at this point. Those are few and far between these days.

My Evening In Company of Prince Albert

I prefer PA over CH... but I have to be in the mood for it. That doesn't happen often, but I always keep a tub on hand.

    Burley suggestions

As has been said... anything C&D is usually damn good. C&D Cube Cut makes a great base if you want to blend your own mix. Got quite a nicotine kick and very earthy flavors. University Flake and Wessex Burley Slices are probably my favorite blends out there... oh and OJK from C&D. I personally...

    Anyone Else Like Granger?

I have a love hate relationship with Granger. For awhile, I was loving it. I would rotate it in with my other blends. Then, it got boring. It does have a very unique flavor to it and one that can grow monotonous quickly.

    The Most Overrated Tobaccos

Always interesting how a couple of words can change peoples perception. If this thread was title "My Review of 3 Popular Tobaccos" it likely would have been better received. That being said, it doesn't really matter. It's the same thing regardless of the title. A personal review of 3 tobaccos...

    1500 dollar Savinelli 320

It's a pipe... it's got two holes and you can smoke tobacco out of it. Some will like it, some will not. Some will see the value in the price, some will not. Beyond that, it's not gonna impact my day more than the 30 seconds it took me to write this post.
