    Cigarette Brands

They tried marketing the filtered Lucky's here... they didn't last long. I will grab a pack of the unfiltered once in awhile as a treat. Good cigarette.

Do Bing style pipes smoke wet?

If I'm working something with my face down, I may actually drool down the stem... but otherwise... you're probably right. Not a regular thing.

Do Bing style pipes smoke wet?

I have 5 Sav Bing's Favorites... 5 or 6 Bings from Scottie Piersel and 2 random from other makers. None of mine smoke wet unless I'm clenching and drooling down the stem. YMMV

Pipe Shapes Outside Your Comfort Zone

The only thing I am drawn to or buy these days are Bings. Classic Billiard in shape, elongated pencil shank, thin comfortable bit, clean sleek lines. What more could you want? I see other pipes that are gorgeous and I can appreciate the aesthetics, but have zero interest in owning or smoking...

    Cigarette Brands

When I smoked regularly, I was a Camel Lights guy. Around here, they are around $10.50 a pack. When I indulge now, it's usually Marlboro Silver. Same price point as Camel.

    Fingernail Tamping

I do whatever is convenient at the time. Usually if out and about, it's a finger tamp. Sitting at my desk, I might grab a tamper. There is no right or wrong. Whatever works best for you.

Had To Take Advantage Of This NY Weather

Born and raised in Buffalo. I always love when people refer to Buffalo as "upstate". People have a strange concept of "up". Buffalo is no questions asked, Western New York and the proper way to refer to it, IMO. They broke a temperature record on Friday at 71˚.

Rehumidifying pipe tobacco, good or bad method?

Takes a bit longer, but I find the Boveda packs that are used for cigars work quite well. Place said tobacco in a heavy duty Ziplock, place a Boveda pack right inside the bag and seal. Might take 4 or 5 days, but you eliminate the risk of too wet or encouraging mold. I tend to use the 75% packs.

    New Savinelli Bing

Boiling water works too and not chance of burning the stem... well... as long as you don't rest it on the bottom of the pot.

Yep, http://www.ladybriar.com Here are a few of mine.

    New Savinelli Bing

I'm partial, but they smoke amazing. I believe I am up to 7 of them, all in the Bing style. Cool smoking and easy to clench. Can't get a better pipe for the price, IMO.

[AhmadOthman] Mac Baren Navy Flake Review

I actually got a hint of honey out of this as well. Subtle, but it's there. I have quite a bit of this cellared. It's a good tobacco and really comes into it's own with some age on it. Like many MacB blends, it can nip if you aren't careful, at least that was my experience. Not an everyday...

Some American OTC Blends And Cellaring

I tried Dr. Pepper with my Prince Albert once... it made my pipe a mess. :D

    New Savinelli Bing

I've got 6 or 7 of these. I have done the same thing as Ray, and straightened the stem on all of them and agree, more enjoyable to clench and smoke IMO. These were my go-to pipes until I started having Scottie custom make Bings for me. Now, admittedly, they don't see much action anymore.

How Many Tobaccos Do You Have "Live"?

Good lord, lots of open jars. I think about 10, of which I hit 3 or 4 regularly.

    Royal Yacht Components

Yep. I have always described it as a VA that smokes like a Burley. I believe that is why I like it so much.

C&D Hounted Book shop vs C&D Old Joe Grantz

+1 to this. I would attribute this to the rather high proportion of Red VA content. HB is more musty/earthy.

C&D Hounted Book shop vs C&D Old Joe Grantz

Someone gave me some Night Train with I think about 3 years of age on it. It was black as... Night (pun intended) and was delicious. Good stuff right out of the tin though, IMO. My only real issue with Night Train is the prep. I prefer my NT rubbed out and this can be quite a process if you are...

C&D Hounted Book shop vs C&D Old Joe Grantz

Though stronger in my opinion, I always preferred OJK to HB. Not sure why, just enjoyed the flavor more. 3 Friars is another great blend. I think I was in a similar situation to Cortez. It caught my eye, but I always passed it by. Last year I pulled the trigger and was pleasantly surprised...

Ah the joy of the Royal Yacht, Without it I'd never be caught, It's strong and it's smooth, My spirit it doth soothe, Alas much more should be bought.
