    The Pipecleaner Debate

I buy the BJ Long Extra Long. They are the same diameter as the regulars, but they are 8 in. length I believe. The standard "regular" cleaners never make it to the bowl with the average length of my pipes being 7 in.

    PAD - Scottie Butterscotch Bing

32 grams. As there should be. :D

    Choosing Christmas Tobacco (Help?)

I'm rather fond of the C&D Christmas Blend this year that Neil mentioned. The flavors and room note will no doubt ignite that Christmas spirit, but there is actual tobacco flavor and strength there too. That being said, I'm with Jud on this one. I would never break a new pipe in with an unknown...

    EKG, Stress Test, and Rest...

Take care of yourself, Cos. All this healthy stuff is bad for your health...

    PAD - Scottie Butterscotch Bing

I wish I had a good way to measure. I'll give her a shout and get the dimensions.

I'll have to double check on the stem. I'm not sure if it's Juma or Ebonite. The band is stainless.

    PAD - Scottie Butterscotch Bing

I am now the proud owner of 7 Scottie pipes. 5 of them are technically Bing's. Of the other 2, one is a replica of a Becker that I liked and the other is essentially a Canadian. I guess I still need to work toward the 7 day set of Bing's. Scottie's work is amazing. Her craftsmanship is top...

Yep. I'll get them all together when this one comes next week and snap a photo.

    PAD - Scottie Butterscotch Bing

Well, our buddy Jon went and got a 7 day set from Scottie. Of course, she did an amazing job on it. Unfortunately, the Scottie bug bit me again, so I reached out to her about adding another to my collection. Well, she did not disappoint, so here is the next in the rotation. I'm pretty sure this...

The (un)Official Pipes Magazine Secret Santa - 2016 Edition

Good point... When I refer to slightly aromatic, I'm referring to things that don't smell like a well used jock strap. No Semois please. Not horrible, just wasn't my thing.

Ah, what the hell, Pat. Toss me into the mix. Burley... and slightly aromatic Burley are OK... but Burley.

    First Damned Snow

I grew up in Buffalo, NY. There was a good chance we had snow by Halloween most years. I will admit since moving to Philly 4 years ago, not having snow has been odd. Add to that, it has been a green Christmas in Buffalo for the last couple years. Do I miss the snow... you betcha.

Got a Drilling Problem (Technical Question)

My only suggestion would be a drill bit rated for metal, same diameter and see if you can get a bite on the broken piece and then maybe try to back it out thereby un-sticking the broken piece.

    A Grand Day at Peck Manor . . .

Nice haul, Peck. Interesting, I never found Revor to have a Lakeland essence. Eh, what the hell do I know.

Pipe Lover Magazines (1946) - Downloads

Great stuff, Al. Thanks. The July 1946 issue has one of my favorite articles. Bing Crosby talking about his pipes. Great read.

I think most of the newer tins do, but this is sure helpful for older tins.

    Montblanc 149 Fountain Pen

I have always loved fountain pens, but never owned anything other than a basic low end one. Still don't really have much desire to collect, but I really appreciate and respect those that do. Friend of mine back home has a VERY impressive collection, with pieces that go back to the early 1900's...

    Anyone Recall Burlington Arcade?

I remember a discussion with William Serad related to Burlington Arcade. I recall he had a tin that he brought for our founding member at Morleys, Bob Paige. If someone could get ahold of William, he might be your next best bet to tell you what was in this blend.
