    Jim's C&D Sanseprolcro Review.

Nice review, Jim. I was impressed with this one. To me it was similar in many ways to ODF, only more refined and complex.

The (un)Official Pipes Magazine Secret Santa - 2016 Edition

Yee ha. We have a good solid group here in PA.

    Being A Good American!

I will be heading over shortly. Some very important local elections going on here too.

    My Scottie Piersel Commission

Scottie never disappoints. Gorgeous pipe. I can assure you the bug will bite you again... I know from experience.

The Importance of the Pipe Stem

I don't think there is a pipe that I have owned that I did not alter the stem in some way. With the exception of most of my Scottie pipes. Almost every pipe that has ever crossed my path is too thick behind the button as well as having a button that is too pronounced. I typically will remove...

    Philly's Morley's Pipe Club 7:00pm Thursday 3Nov

Hope to see our Philly area members there tonight. Will be a blast as always.

    Starting flakes

Cube Cut or rub them out. Fold and stuff has never been successful for me. To be honest, there are not many flake tobaccos that I smoke on a regular basis. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I find the process to be a real pain in the arse sometimes.

    PAD - Scottie Butterscotch Bing

You won't regret it Brian. Every time I get a pipe from her, as soon as it's in my hands I'm tempted to email her and tell her to start on another. It is only with a huuuggge amount of self control that I don't.

    PAD - Scottie Butterscotch Bing

Thank you sir. Oddly, I'm a Burley guy myself and have never had a bowl of Scotty's Butternut Burley. Scottie would be correct, it is quite shiny. Well it was until I got my grubby shit hooks all over it.

Greatest Movie Interactions Of All Time

Tombstone was legendary. There are too many to name from the Godfather, but "Leave the gun... take the Cannoli" stands out as one for me. Bing & Kaye in White Christmas and Bing & Astaire in Holiday Inn... and who could forget Bing & Hope in almost every "Road to" movie.

Pipeworks & Wilke Carole Burns Retiring From Tobacco

Honestly, if it turned enough of a profit to survive on... I would consider it. Not sure it is. I could be wrong though.

Pipeworks & Wilke Carole Burns Retiring From Tobacco

That is sad news indeed. I would imagine there has to be someone out there that would jump on the opportunity to purchase the Wilke recipes. Then again, with all the changes happening with the FDA, it might be a fruitless endeavor.

Cornell & Diehl Small Batch Sansepolcro Now Available

I was fortunate enough to get a tin of this that had been provided to our pipe club a couple months back. I suspect it was to get it into the market before the cutoff date. This is a great blend and anyone who enjoys ODF will like this one. I was an ODF nut for a year and I can say confidently...

    What Is Lane Up To?

Ah, the same cigar guys that haven't really done squat to protect pipe tobacco while protecting their own business interests? They want to leverage their brand into pipe tobacco, eh? I'm not sure whether that should make me laugh or cry, lol.

    What Is Lane Up To?

Anyone noticed the 3 most recent blends that Lane has released? Cohiba, Macanudo and Wild Hare. If you read the descriptions... they all pretty much sound the same. Seems a bit strange to me. Any thoughts? I think it's a conspiracy...

As mentioned the band is stainless, but I verified that the stem is Ebonite. 1 in.

Home Pressed Tobacco. My 1st Attempt With Pics!

Pretty damn cool. Thanks for the pics too. My only suggestion would be to ditch the pill bottle, and get yourself some heavy gauge PVC piping. It would avoid the bulging and being open on the bottom and the top (with a proper plate) would allow easier extraction.
