Who'd Want To Be A Celebrity?

Interesting question. I'm in the anonymity camp. They can keep all the flashy cars and houses. Trappings of a life that isn't truly your own.

Use Imgur. One of the best. Free and no irritating ads that I recall.

Dunhill To Stop Selling Pipe Tobacco?

Good excuse to buy a few more tins of Royal Yacht.

    My first burley smoke

I think there is some sugar water (pretty common with MacB blends) and a good bit of Cocoa.

What's The Strangest Thing You Have Found In Your Tobacco?

I found some mold in a recent tin containing red VA... Too soon?

    Are competitions real smoking?

+1 to what Warren said. I have never entered a slow smoke, for the primary reason that I usually don't like the damn tobacco they are using. I'm just not competitive enough, or interested enough in the prizes to overlook that fact. More power to those who are.

    Quintessential tobacco - Survey says.....

If having Latakia in it moves it into that category, then you could make that argument. However, it is modeled after Revelation, which was a classic American blend. What sets it apart from an English blend--in my opinion--is that much like other American tobaccos of the early to mid 20th...

    Quintessential tobacco - Survey says.....

Ehh... I have to disagree with many on the American blend. Personally, if you wanted a blend that was going to represent traditional American tobacco, I would go with something like Old Joe Krantz, or Epiphany from C&D.

    Baking Tobacco

I believe Bradley bakes tin on the regular. If I'm not mistaken, he wraps them in tinfoil so that if they pop their seal, they still have some protection from the elements.

Why Are There Few Perique Aromatics?

I mix up my own daily blend at home and it contains aromatic tobacco and Perique. Not a large amount of Perique, but the whole concoction seems to work for me.

Cased Pipe Collection - Pic Heavy

    That's a hell of a collection, Tim.

    New Pipe For Christmas???

Not actually for Christmas, but I treated myself to a custom Scottie Piersel a month or so ago. I guess it counts... it was in the "season".

    Gave My Notice Today

Congrats, Darin. My only regret with our new house is I don't have as much "spare" space as I had hoped. Really wanted to put my pipe workshop back together... unfortunately I'm still in the negotiation stages with the other half over the basement space.

    Good Christmas

Merry Christmas to you, Brad. You are a diamond in the rough in this world and we are all VERY lucky to know you. Hope the New Year brings you and the family much happiness.

Help Me Find A New Christmas Aromatic

Corn Cob Pipe is a winner, Pat. It's got undertones of chocolate and vanilla, and though they don't mention it, there is some sort of subtle berry flavor there. It's a great aro. Not goopy and full of flavor, it even has a decent bit of strength under all that Christmasy deliciousness.

Snow, Snow and More Snow...Please Make It Stop

We got a dusting here in Philly last night. Was at a friends for drinks and we were standing outside watching it come down. It was beautiful. My Mom sent me pictures from Buffalo yesterday. Looking pretty good that we will have a white Christmas up there. I enjoy the snow, and after 3 years of...
