    Latakia smells like cheese?

I've never detected a cheese flavor in any of the lat blends I've tried including Black House or MM 965. though I have gotten the vinegar or ketchup. notes on occasion from Black House and a few others. I could be more kind in describing it as a "savory" sort of taste, but it does sometimes...

    LIFE Magazine May 26, 1941

It probably is advertising BS but when you consider the combustion temperature variables of tobacco, 86 degrees is not much to fudge one way or the other. Most likely a meaningless difference.

    LIFE Magazine May 26, 1941

That Pontiac would be a little over $13,000.00 in today's money. Still seems like a pretty go deal! Hitler was actually very happy with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. His invasion of of the Soviet Union was not going well and he was hoping that Japan would assist by sending troops from...

    corporations drug screening for nicotine.

Working in pharmacies for most of my adult life, I've been subjected to random tests and surveillance. In this case I think it's a very good idea and never had a problem with it.I looked at it more as a safety issue than a security one. It's just way too easy to get hooked on some of the things...

    Considering A Move to Oregon

We pretty much are a one party state here in Oregon. The last set of gun laws were past as an emergency measure which meant voters had no say in the issue. That's how things work here. There's always a way around our state constitution if it suits the ruling party. Voters have reaffirmed the...

Show Off Your Dr. Grabow Pipes Here!

ejmes wrote: Well, now I'll have to be looking out for that one! I had no idea. And then instymp said: There will most likely be another coming up shortly on ebay to replace yours. It would probably sink like lead weight if it went overboard though! Hope you didn't lose any pipes that way.

    Pipes in Art

I came across a photograph of some Ukranian men sitting around shooting the breeze. One of them had a pipe, so I cropped the other guys out and added some Photoshop effects to make the photo look like a painting.

It took me months but I finally snagged a Dr Grabow CDL for a price I wanted to pay. I'm enjoying it. The bit is flared enough where my teeth can get a pretty good grip on it, something I miss on my Falcons. I don't know why Dr Grabow didn't market these more aggressively. This is a pretty good...
