One of the group of pipes I bought this weekend. I've found a variety for sale but can't come up with a date range or maker. I'm going to hazard a guess it's prior to 1970 as every other pipe in this group that I can date are earlier than 1970. It's a neat octagonal shape. Any information or directions to information y'all can provide would be appreciated.

Pipe is marked
Walnut Antique

Algerian Briar

Made In France

Thank you for the welcome. I joined a while back but due to health and life issues haven't been very active other than reading. :)

I have a antique walnut and can't find any information on them. Another member said his walnut was a great smoker. Mine is on the table of pipes to restore.

Your post is the only relevant thing I can find other than ebay sales posts. I think it's a nice looking little pipe, just wish we could find out it's history. You'd think there'd be something out there since there's more than a few up for sale.

It seems to be a well made pipe. I can't figure out why there aren't more around.
