Pipe Smoker vs "Guy who Smokes a Pipe"

That definitely makes sense under the label "tobacco user". I haven't filled out any forms lately and only remember seeing "smoker" used. I guess I'd qualify as a tobacco user.

Pipe Smoker vs "Guy who Smokes a Pipe"

The insurance question has been brought up here before and the general consensus seemed to be that the term "smoker" was mostly applicable to cigarette smokers in this context. I'd still check the non-smoker box on anything official even being a daily pipe smoker.

Pipe Smoker vs "Guy who Smokes a Pipe"

We'll be playing that one tonight. A crowd favorite. We go straight into it from Honky Tonk Women. Not the most exciting song to play as a drummer, but I love the crowd feedback.

That sounds like something a radish would say. You root vegetables are all the same.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2023?***

Another day, another estate lot pipe. Amphora Kentucky Blend in a Dr. Grabow Starfire hex paneled billiard. The Amphora blends have all been very enjoyable. I plan on picking up another variety pack soon.

    Telephone Calls

I also find it true that phone calls vs texting is very much age related. I have some younger friends who only text and I don't think I've ever gotten a phone call from them. Conversely, my older friends never text and insist on calling. I also agree with your point that texting gives you time...

    Advise on Stands

My stands all have holes for the stems so are unsuitable for churchwardens. I'd suggest going with an open notched stand like @olkofri posted.

    Is This Pipe Drilled Improperly?

That looks like my Oom Paul/Hungarians and they smoke just fine. With full bends you are always going to be more likely to get some gurgle simply due to the physics of the design.

What Music Are You Listening to? - February 2023

Very cool. That's a great incorporation of the didge into that genre. I have a collection of about 20 didgeridoos. I used to import them from Australia back when the exchange rate was really good in the early 2000s.

That's another one that will transport you right back to the '70s.

    Edward’s Algerian Briar

I won this French made Algerian briar MasterCraft Legion of Honor squat bulldog recently as part of a lot auction. Total cost of $7.

    The Importance of Pipe Sweetening

Rum works too. That's what I use.

    Just Got My First Meerschaum

Nice one! My first meer was also an estate claw, but it was well smoked. You'll get the satisfaction of doing all the coloring from scratch.

That's a great looking meer. I just showed it to my wife, who loves owls, and she wants me to get one.

    Tobacco Remnants

I'll mix it with something. Waste not, want not.

    Telephone Calls

I despise phone conversations and avoid them whenever possible.

I love the sound of the drums on this tune. One of my favorite studio recordings.

My band covers this song. We go from Waitin' for the Bus directly into it just like they did on Tres Hombres.

    I'd smoke it.
