Working at home this morning again and can't be bothered to change CDs so once more 70s music via a cable channel. Just suffered through Janis Ian and "Seventeen" - yuck, now "Beach Baby" which kind of makes me smile a little, but I swear if Austin Roberts' "Rocky" comes on (no idea why that is occurring to me), I'm switching to Classic Rock!

Nice. I've been on a 2000's Dylan kick. I really like this era for him. "Modern Times" turned me onto this era when I was in high-school.

You're right to call him Reggie during his contact lens period...he's just not Elton without the glasses.

I generally don’t like that 80’s sound, but Billy Joel just has such great lyrics. And, that saxophone sound is the 80’s throwback to the 50’s, trying to sound vintage, IMO.
But, hey… the guy lives in glass houses.

1983- One hit wonders, the Scottish rock band, Big Country, wove bagpipes and melodic lyrics to reach #3 on the UK charts. In the US we inly remember their one song, Big Country. And, if they hadn’t of reformed the group in 2013 and made one more album they would have been one shot heroes.
