    Just For Him

Their Golder Cashmere is one of my favorites, a rich, non aromatic blend. It's a good, all day smoke.

Can someone give me info on this pipe?

A photo would help, my friend.

To all of you smokers with kids.

My pipe smoking may be what kept my kids alive while they were growing up, lol. But I smoke on the porch, and never smoked in the Jeep with them, at least not while the top was up. At any rate, here in Louisiana you can not smoke in the car with children either.

    Multiple Tornadoes In Louisiana.

The funnel cloud passed over my place yesterday in Mandeville. My friends business lost it big lighted sign in NO east, but he was ok, didn't hit his building. He said they really do sound like freight trains! I am glad no one was hurt.

    What's Your Lineage?

Traced back to 1780. Scots-Irish, English, and French on my Dad's side. Spanish and Cajun on my Mom's. Definitely the American melting pot, lol. Maybe I should get one of those DNA tests.

    Dunhill Flake Round Tin

That's really weird. I recently ordered 5 tins of Marlin Flake, and they arrived in square tins. I remember them being in the round ones. I just can't keep up with all these changes.

Man, that's great. Be sure to check out Mayan Imports on exchange place in the French Quarter, formerly the Tobacco Exchange.

What Do You Think About Neerup Pipes?

My Neerups are great! I have two: a basic bent Brandy 3, and a 4th Genration 1931 that was made by Peder Jeppesen also. The 4th gen would be a 4 in chamber sizes. Anyway, the bent Brandy is great with VaPers and flakes. The 4th Gen took to squadron Leader like a fish to water. These pipes...

What to do with unwanted pipes

I traded off three to SPC. All I can say is I believe they are fair, but they definitely like Petersons.

Should I restore my 1937 Dunhill?

Dunhill pipes are probably retain more value than anything else out there, except certain artisan makers. If you look at eBay or peruse some estate pipe resellers, you can see the vast sums that Dunhills can go for. Your pipe has some negatives, such as the charred rim and the fact that there...

    Castello vs Dunhill

This is sad. I have one estate Castello, and one estate Dunhill: a Sea Rock and a Shell, respectively. Neither one really does it for me, but HH Latakia Flake in the Shell is great. But I know a lot of people who have Castellos and love them. I don't know anybody that has a Dunhill.

My Favorite Shape: the Skater. Know of Any out There for Sale?

That is one shape that you don't see much anymore. I don't think anyone is producing it now. I had two Yellobole skaters in the 80's, and they were Brylon. The two skater shapes I have now are one by Sam Martin, and another that looks like a Charatan but is marked C.B.P. Benchmark. Your best...

    Can They Handle The Can?

It's hit or miss with square tins. I have tried wrapping them in clear cellophane, which I think helps. Only bad tins I have ever found were Wessex Burley Sliced, which were all dried out when I opened them. Rehydrating helped them, but I haven't bought another tin of Wessex ever since.
