    Infinity Jars

Yes. It's labelled "Misc English" and it's in a large sample jar. The Teflon lined lid isn't the best at keeping all moisture in, but the contents are thus always at optimal smoking moisture. Thus, I do reach for it when I've forgotten to lay something else out. I'll occasionally seed it...

If You Could Pick 4 Extremely Different Pipe Tobacco

Four (ok really five) completely different but easily obtainable blends for the novice.... 1. Sir Walter Raleigh regular (red pouch) 2. Orlik Golden Slice -or- Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake 3. Peterson (formerly Dunhill) My Mixture 965 4. GL Pease Haddo's Delight 5. MacBaren's Old Dark Fired

What do the Symbols "LIKES" Mean to You in Our Threads?

And I was about to say we needed the beating a dead horse smiley.

Anyone Ever Use This “Hard Rubber Deoxidizer” On Your Stems?

I'd want to review a SDS (Safety Data Sheet) prior to using it on something that goes in the mouth.

    Searching for Sweet

I smoke a pipe primarily to satisfy my sweet tooth. That said, maybe it's my cadence or super sensitive taste buds, but 90% of the aromatics I've tried have tasted like a trash fire. That's why I've gravitated to well aged Virginia blends. That said, here's a few aromatics I've had that...

    Good Documentary/Movie Reccomendations

This was really enjoyable, even the wife liked it. The first 6 albums are my statutory "putzing around in the garage" music.

Favorite Esoterica Blends - Besides Penzance

If I had to pick only two they'd be Brighton and Scarborough. Dunbar, Tilbury, and to a lesser extent Stonehaven round out as firm runner-ups.

    Clean/Restore Used Bourbon Barrel

Clear coat it (poly or similar) and be done. Don't keep it outside, just my $0.02

    Chemical Burn From Chatham Manor

I often have similar issues with many such blends - it's likely a combination of body chemistry, personal smoking habits, and the particulars of the blend. For instance, I really like the flavor and aroma of Lane's HGL, but I cannot smoke it because of the awful burned film it leaves in my mouth.

Picked This Up Off Side Of The Road

Just like a cast iron skillet - heat and use, no chemical cleaners. Flip meat when it releases easily instead of forcing it to flip

    My Cellar Suggestions

Cellar now while its available and relatively cheap.

    A Good Oriental Forward Blend?

McClelland's Grand Orientals were the benchmark of this style. I haven't found anything to compare since.

Funny And Odd Sayings From Our Elders

"Sweating like a whore in church" - dad "You make your bed, you lie in it" - dad "greased lighting (i.e. diarrhea)" - maternal grandfather "burnt Irishmen" - maternal great-grandmother (anyone of dark skin complexion)

Can Tobacco Ever Be Too Dry?

Some of my favorite Esoterica blends have a very optimal moisture level for best taste. Almost crunchy but with a little "stickiness" for lack of a better description. Too moist and they steam, too dry and there's some magic lost. These are the Virginia based blends, such as Brighton, Dunbar...

Do You Have a Different Hobby?

I've dabbled with vacuum tube electronics for 20+ years. I've modified and repaired a lot of guitar amps and built several guitar amps from scratch over the years. I suck at woodworking though, so all my scratch projects look like something you'd bury a small pet in.

Anyone Else Not A Fan Of The P-Lip

    Behold.... circumcised Peterson.

Anyone Else Not A Fan Of The P-Lip

Exactly. That's why I spent about 2 minutes with the Dremel instead.

Anyone Else Not A Fan Of The P-Lip

If you like the pipe otherwise, you can always just turn the P-lip into a fishtail. I did that with my only Peterson and it was a great improvement (for me).

    8 oz or $750!

Not a bad price for 8oz of homegrown, but no way for pipe tobacco of questionable condition.

Fill in the Blanks - TAD/Instant Cellar

That list scares my tongue! I'd pick up a few cases of Biotene. I second (or third) the recommendation for some Sam Gawith/Gawith Hoggarth flakes. Also pick up a few Rattrays, and you can't go wrong with many of the Dan Tobacco blends. Lastly, pick up a package of each Sir Walter Raleigh...
