    Another great carver

That pipe is "a bit" different from all your others..but I still like it!

This bash has two separate bowls

You have a very impressive collection...I'm continually amazed at your good taste in pipes!

    Luna Spain Very Unique Pipe

That's a really cool looking "rustication". My guess is that it was created using a special made tool, like a brad point bit with the centre spike ground away.

    My First Cellaring Mistake.

    I feel your pain.

Different is too simple a word

Gotta love that birdseye! Would love to see the grain on the front of that bowl.

    The infamous 55

Tilbury is my favourite, too. If you can find it, you must try JF Germain's Old Brown Sliced. It tastes very similar to Tilbury but a little darker in colour and in flake form. I'm guessing its like how Germain's produces both Stonehaven and Rich Dark Flake...almost the same, but not. Tilbury...

    Vintage Meer Needing Some TLC.

I think the silver band may have been part of a repair job to reinforce the original, crumbly shoulder. Cortez is correct with the repair procedure. The cake will have to be sanded away, and the crumbly shoulder strengthened with a "cap" of new material. The screw tenon also looks like a repair...

    Ok, I lied!

My favourite tobacco in my favourite makers pipe...I envy you, fishnbanjo!

What Is the One Thing That You Haven't Had in a Very Long Time?

Yeah, I used to have thick curly hair, and now I have none. That was twenty years ago and I still haven't gotten over it...

    Removing Cake from Meerschaum Chamber

Pictures would be good...but from the description I know what to do to fix that.

    Removing Cake from Meerschaum Chamber

I might be able to help you with the restoration, Jay. What all needs doing to it?

    My first JT Cooke pipe

Where did you get that pipe? I think I used to own it, and stupidly sold it on. I think I have a picture of it somewhere...

    The little Cooke that could

Not a shape you usually see from JT...I like it!

    Evening Pipe

What woodsroad said...not much danger there, even if the round was live.

    Pipe and tobacco storage.

Never seen that pipe storage thread before...brilliant ideas in there!

An Extraordinary Thing Happened To Me Yesterday.

In Cornwall, anything over 24 C is a heatwave. Most Cornwallians are acclimatised to cool temperatures and wet weather all year round, so when the mercury reaches 24, I personally head for the shade while everybody else heads for the beach! If I had to move back to Indiana, I don't know if I...

    Here come the Beckers

I like that pipe. The lines, the long tapered shank, the rustication that had been lightly sanded smooth before staining, the tall bowl, the colour...everything!

    Blending Burley recommendations

Thanks deathmetal, that is exactly the info I was looking for!
