Just showing off my newest Meerschaum pipe. This pipe was carved by Tekin Uzkesici, and beautifully done with excellent detail. This is my 6th Meerschaum acquisition over the last several months. I'm definitely hooked on Meerschaum pipes.

So is it wrong to love the look of a pipe so much that you don't want to smoke it? I have yet to load a bowl of tobacco into this pipe and put flame to it. It's such a great looking pipe I can't bring myself to fire it up.
I know that people collect meerschaum pipes for their art/craftsmanship, but I don't consider myself to be such an individual. At least I didn't before, but maybe that's changing.

The few times I thought about loading a bowl and firing it up, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I need more encouragement I guess.
Just imagine how good the mane will look with some color in it! I think it will only get more striking as it colors.
