Gourd Calabash Repair Question
After two years of being really hard on my Baki gourd calabash, the cork gasket needed replacing. I clean the gourd with pure alcohol about once every two weeks and it has made the cork hard and the cup doesn't seal well. Jack Knife is my favourite, I smoke it at least once a day. I do prefer the RR version over the plug for ease, but unfortunately it isn't sold in the 8oz size tin to my knowledge. Do You Recommend a 15 Minutes Pipe Smoking Session? :D
If I only had 15 minutes I would opt to not smoke. 45 minutes is about the minimum for me. I've been cut short before, only getting about 30 minutes in and just hitting the sweet spot before getting interrupted. I felt cheated and grumpy!- tozert

A Rather Striking Big Ben Octagonal Calabash
Jay, I think it was shaped by hand. I've never seen a machine made pipe that could handle panels, but I could be wrong. The transition from panels to round shank is fabulous work on that pipe. -
