    New Castello Canadian NV 2K

Hello all, I recently picked up this Castello Canadian Natural Vergin 2K from Tabaccheria Corti. I needed a smaller pipe for those English flakes/kakes in my cellar (Germain's 1820, GLP Gaslight, Plum Pudding) and, seeing as how I was very impressed with my 4K Shape 55, I thought I could do no...

When Do You Smoke Your Pipe?

Once in the evening before I go to sleep. Seems to work best for my schedule that way.

What Brought You To The Pipe?

It was getting too cold that winter to sit outside for two hours with a cigar, so I opted to buy my first pipe at JJ Fox, a Peterson Standard System 314 and an in-house aromatic blend. The rest is history.

Has Anyone Had Any Experience With the EBay Seller 'deadmanspipes'?

As the title suggests, for my peace of mind I'm trying to find some forum testimony before I bid. I tend not to stray out Pipestud's shop, so these are unchartered waters for me! Link: deadmanspipes on eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/deadmanspipes?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

How to Exorcise an Entrenched Ghost

It's really hard to explain what's in this pipe. It's vaguely perfumed, but it isn't rose. It's more dull than that. Definitely a woman's fragrance though.

How to Exorcise an Entrenched Ghost

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. Just made my morning coffee and I've now paced both the shank and the bowl full of grounds. Hope this works!

    Hola from Argentina....

That's a crying shame. I'm returning home to Singapore soon and I'll be in the exact same situation. I feel your pain.

How to Exorcise an Entrenched Ghost

I make pourover-coffee every morning, so I think I'll start with this and then move on to a retort if it doesn't work out! Thanks a bunch.

How to Exorcise an Entrenched Ghost

Hello all! As the title suggests, I'm in need of some assistance in exorcising a ghost in my Group 3 Dunhill Red Bark from 1973. I'm not sure what the previous owner smoked in this fine piece of pipe history but it has definitely seeped into the walls. All I can smell and taste is perfume...

    Hola from Argentina....

Welcome from London/Singapore! How are excise/import taxes over on that side of the world?

Where Do You Smoke Your Pipe?

Only at home for me. Not sure if this is because I'm largely a novice, but I can't seem to fully enjoy what's in my pipe when I'm out and about.

    A Question About Aging

Thanks for all the information guys. I was asking this question because I've been thinking about how to age the four or five tins of Sutliff Cringle Flake I purchased this holiday season. For reasons too complex to explain, I won't see these tins for at least 3 years, so I think I'll just jar...

    A Question About Aging

Are the mylar bags vacuum sealed? I've heard of their use, but I'm not clear on the environment within them.

    A Question About Aging

Hello all, I've been lurking around the site for the answer to a question I've had for a while: is it better to age blends in their original (vacuum-sealed) European tins or jar them? From what I've read, tobacco needs a bit of air to begin the fermentation process, and so many on the forum...

Bradley from the STUFFandTHINGS on Radio Show of Dec 17, 2019

Oh, happy days! I've been waiting for this interview since I began watching Bradley over two years ago!

How to Rededicate a Pipe Devoted to English Blends

I only smoked it around once or twice a week, so it really didn't take that much effort at all to get everything out.

How to Rededicate a Pipe Devoted to English Blends

Thanks for the suggestions all! Reamed and cleaned the 55 last night and let it rest before I smoked some Carolina Red Flake (2019) out of it today. No ghost at all. It'll be my flake pipe until I pick up something with a chamber more suited to the pressed stuff.

How to Rededicate a Pipe Devoted to English Blends

Thanks for the assurance! Isopropyl will do for the shank, correct? And I assume the same goes the other way (Virginia to English).

How to Rededicate a Pipe Devoted to English Blends

I'm looking to begin smoking Virginia flake in my Castello shape 55 which I dedicated to English blends around 6 months ago when I first bought the pipe. Will this require anything more than a ream-and-clean? EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title - Bob

New (to me) Scotti-era Castello Collection KKK Bent Billiard

Browsing the Italian Estates tab on SmokingPipes has been an obsession of mine for the last couple months (much to the bewilderment of other students in the college library!). I finally pulled the trigger on this stunning Scotti-era bent billiard around a week ago. It has some of the most...
