I've had an unopened tin for years. It may be a while longer before I open it, after I've forgotten this thread. I like Potlatch pretty well, amazing for the number of tobaccos included. Until now, I've heard mostly rave notices.

I went through several cans, and even more cans of Mississippi River a few years ago when I started piping. I went on a buying spree and have a few pounds of each cellared away. They only see the light of day in the fall now and even then I’ll smoke just a couple of ounces. My tastes have definitely changed, what was once love has faded away. Maybe I’ll appreciate it again one day but for now I’m a Virginia junkie.
I like latakia blends, but I don't often enjoy the more processed varieties that have been pressed and heated. It softens the taste of the latakia and I don't like that. I especially don't enjoy the PPSR and prefer the regular PP but not enough to buy any to keep around.
I liked it more a few years ago when I smoked a lot of Latakia blends, I prefer the SR version to the regular.
For my taste this whole line was worse than my first wife !
I have a long-opened and forgotten tin and just tried a bowl in a wide pot. I see its appeal for the lat/perique crowd; I'm not presently among them. Next year, maybe.
I enjoy it - I don’t find it overbearing at all and definitely like it more once it’s been around a couple years.

Never depend on the tastes of others when tobacco is concerned, you may like it. Most of what I smoke now is rarely if ever mentioned and most of it has no reviews.
I've had a funny relationship with every SPC blend I've tried. Initially, they seem complex and interesting. In time, they seem heavily burdened by who knows what. I always end up looking for alternatives.
I like it. If I'm in the mood for that type of smoke it'll do. However, I keep plenty of Bengal Slices and Fusiliers Ration on hand for when I crave those types of smokes. Both of those tobaccos are better than Plum Pudding IMO.
I love the stuff, quite unique for an English blend, has a mild topping. It has changed over the years but it’s still a great smoke.
I enjoy Plum Pudding quite a bit. I've had it fresh within a few months of manufacturing, after a decade of aging, and in between. I think it's a very good blend.
I've tried the alternative versions as well, but prefer the main blend. It's certainly not my favorite English blend, but definitely in my top ten, if not my top five.
The first time I purchased it was on the recommendation from the local B&M as an alternative to Penzance. I ended up liking Plum Pudding more.

I first tried and enjoyed Mississippi River several years back, which lead me to try Plum Pudding. I did not like it at all, but after a little age and trying it in the right pipe everything changed and I now enjoy it once in a while.
I can't stand Cavendish, and Plum Pudding contains way too much in my opinion. To me, it's like the retarded cousin of Quiet Nights.
I’m a big fan of Plum Pudding, though I will say the blend changed somewhere along the way. Maybe more than once? PP was the second pipe tobacco I ever bought sometime around Fall 2018 and I was immediately hooked. The cut of the new version is different and it tastes less Perique-y or has otherwise lost some of its zest. Still a great Balkan, albeit a bit overpriced.
I'm really liking SPC Wild Man and recently ordered a tin of Plum Pudding... I'll have to see how it tickles my taste buds
