What's for dinner? Funny you should ask. Right now we have a big pot of shrimp gumbo simmering of the stove. I will be good tonight, but GREAT in about 3 days.

I am cheating by fixing buffalo chicken tenders and Mac and cheese from a precooked meal.
Tooth pick night. We started it when my boys were around 5 and 6 years old. Everything has to be eaten with a tooth pick around the kitchen island. It’s a great way to use whatever is leftover or in abundance in the fridge. Veggies, fruit, cheese, pickles, leftover meats, shrimp, etc…. It’s very social and easy to pull together.
Ahhh yes the ol’ crudités on the counter trick. Definitely an invention of Control, not Chaos.
Going to make Shepards Pie tonight. Have my 2lbs of lamb waiting to go!
I've got half a side of Rainbow trout, not too sure what to do with it, but decided to buy it as a change from salmon.
Roast beef diner tomorrow though
Smoked baby back ribs, homemade Savoy Cabbage slaw, and a cold beer are on the menu tonight. It’s approaching 50 degrees in the Chicago area today, so the Weber kettle grill is heating up for a little winter work out. I bought some Rum barrel wood chips for the source of smoke.
Sherry bathed shrimp over a creamy, rosemary and parmesan polenta, garnished with cilantro and house made pickled onions.
A dear friend of mine from Senegal brought me some Chicken Yassa. It is my favorite Senegalese dish. I had it in Senegal many moons ago during my world tour after college and I fell in love with it.
Devilled rabbit quarters, bacon-wrapped asparagus and mashed potatoes.
Took some time off lock picking to cook dinner. Shrimp Etouffee.
Cuban pork sandwiches with smoked honey ham, house made pulled pork, Swiss cheese, and kosher dill pickle slices on herbed garlic bread slathered with butter, yellow mustard, and mayonnaise.
Fried calamari (prepackaged), tossed with cherry peppers and fresh spinach in a sweet Thai chili sauce.
More of a cottage pie sort-don't like lamb. They're too cute to eat anyway.
Taken a liking to Indian food in the past year. Hadn't really tried it before. No Indian restaurants within a few hundred miles of me of that. So, rely on the freezer selection of my local Walmart. They carry a couple of brands which are quite good. Had curry chicken tonight. Also fond of butter chicken.
