I've been known to do that. Usually with a cob

There was a time when I saved the clipped caps, especially the pointed ones, in a little jar. After maybe 10 cigars I'd have a cobfull of mixed cigar leaf.

There's an interesting clarity of flavor from doing this
I’ve been tossing my caps in my leftovers tin. I can’t really tell they’re there. I think I’ll put em in a tin of their own like you said and give that a go!

Always have them in the humidor, smoke them weekly.
They’re my backup cigar: if I try something new and don’t like it, the Curly Head is always there for me. I ordered another 5 pack from Cigar Page today.

I found some candelas in a store in December and thought they were too bland, but I’m going to try again this summer.

Way better than the ones we smoked right off the shelf back in December.

Maybe a contender for something worth stocking? Had to double check- $8 at Smokingpipes. Not bad...

A couple notes of anise-licorice, which I like, that I'm more accustomed to finding in the Nicaraguan tobacco that Black Label uses

That's a pretty good cigar, but I would say not as good as the Flor de las Antillas.
