I probably need to clarify that my bowl cleaning isn’t really cleaning in terms of removing cake; it’s just lightly turning a paper towel to loosen dottle. Ideally, I hardly ever CLEAN clean any pipe bowl unless something’s gone wrong.I used to run both ends of a pipe cleaner through the stem, and then fold it in half and do the chamber every time I smoked. I realized I was causing my pipes to burn hotter because they weren’t building any cake at all, so now I clean them about every five or so smokes.
Tinsky's bent bulldogs are some of the few bulldogs that I really like, and I absolutely adore them! I just haven't gotten one of my own yet haha! Lovely pipe.

IncredibleOh heck... I mean, why shouldn't I smoke this monster? Haha! Black House about to go into a claw holding an egg hatching a baby dragon meer. Yanik! View attachment 379473View attachment 379474View attachment 379475
That's a great one we don't see much. I have a single tin left from the period after Nat, before its total demise, when labeled Metropolitan 536.Over the last couple of weeks I've been going through my deep storage of jars. Tonight I cracked open a jar of Nat Sherman 536 Empire English from 2019, smoked in a Savinelli Dry System 613 smooth bent billiard. Rich, creamy and smooth smoke, spicy, fruity and bready. Everything about it seems to have improved with age.
