Westminster in a Kaywoodie shape 07 billiard. This blend is aging very nicely for me.
Dry paper towel in the bowl, and a pipe clearer or three after every smoke. But that doesn’t mean everyone has to. Less often won’t hurt the pipe. This post poses a question that I've often wondered . . . . how often and how do you (and others) clean pipes? Enquiring minds want to know. Y'all know I'm anal and investigate everything thorougly before I commit. Make lots of mistakes . . . I clean mine every third smoke, but ?????
And, you have some absolutely magnificent pipes in that basket! I'm sitting here drooling.![]()
What a player!
She has a line of steel guitars.
That would be why so many of us never retire, Sir. A friend died at work at his desk. He’d have been so proud. This retired life has more arduous labor than I was used to lawyering.
I was up to haul the trash all the way to the street before dawn and open up the chicken coop, then rose again at crack of noon to gather three eggs and fix another pot of Yuban smoking Prince Albert Cherry Cavendish in my gleaming Made in England C.B. Perkins Supreme #296 Canadian that cost me a whole $18.75 plus postage and taxes the gosh darned gubbermint levies that took the total up to $26 delivered.

My lovely wife fixed me dinner but it was poppy seed and broccoli laden so I nuked a couple of hot dogs with Kraft cheese and French’s mustard.
And she ordered me to feed the chickens some lentil she sprouted for a treat.

I think that’s my favorite Castello ever. I just don’t like the aesthetic that made them rich and famous. Nothing personal, as everyone else seems to like it. But yours…speaks to me. Congrats on the beautiful pipe.Dunhill Dark Flake in my Castello bent bulldog.

Since technically, I suppose it could be a bulldog, maybe it’s a long dog, or a…Dachshund.Another Muletown pipe, a Mark Tinskey 2022 “Bengal”. I dunno if this is a weird Lumberman with diamond shank, or a stretched, diamond shanked Rhodesian with saddle stem, but I liked it. Wood accent, but no idea on what it is. Old Dark Fired ready rubbed.

I used to run both ends of a pipe cleaner through the stem, and then fold it in half and do the chamber every time I smoked. I realized I was causing my pipes to burn hotter because they weren’t building any cake at all, so now I clean them about every five or so smokes. This post poses a question that I've often wondered . . . . how often and how do you (and others) clean pipes?
