@The Amish Tyrant @Ahi Ka says I'm definitely the Clay King after smoking through 25g of Black Irish X Twist in 2 days!Takis? Or just salty tortilla chips?

Looks like a great spot!Second smoke of the day, GH & Co. Scotch Flake in my Ed Burak Stacked Egg. I’m at Hudson Bar and Books in the West Village. One of the few places you can still smoke in NYC.

@condorlover1 Wish you were here.
So far so good…Looks like a great spot!
I just don’t think they would cover markings with the original band, I could be totally wrong! nice pipe!I doubt about aftermarket band on this pipe. Part of the description from the highly trusted seller:
"UNSMOKED & PRISTINE 1960s (year number is covered by the AD STAMPED GOLD FERRULE, BUT THE OTHER MARKINGS ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE 1960s) DUNHILL ROOT BRIAR R SHAPED CLASSIC POT SHAPED estate pipe."
But I don't know for sure. The pipe is like the day it was carved condition. That's what matters to me
Ohhhh now that makes sense. Yeah sounds too wet. Are all your clays roughly the same size?@didimauw I've been trying to find out how long I can make a clay pipe of baccy last; my best time since my attempts at the smoke-off with @Ahi Ka has been 24 minutes (with relighting, which would disqualify me from official competitions). I found the Black Irish X Twist hard to smoke; maybe I didn't dry it out enough or stuffed too much tobacco into the pipe so it didn't get the oxygen it needed to burn. I'm told it needs space between the fibres to burn properly...
Giving the meer a rest although I’m sure it doesn’t need it. Loaded some BMP into a 2015 Boswell spiral freehand with a spiral acrylic stem. This is the first pipe I ever bought. Got it new in 2015 before I started hiking the Appalachian Trail. Drying out some other tobacco for a long reading stint in the greenhouse on this 30F afternoon!

@didimauw Yes, my Pollock clay holds about 2.5g of baccy, the Jamestown holds roughly 2g. Now I know how much baccy my clay pipes hold it's easy to get an idea of how long they take to smoke.Ohhhh now that makes sense. Yeah sounds too wet. Are all your clays roughly the same size?
