Giving the meer a rest although I’m sure it doesn’t need it. Loaded some BMP into a 2015 Boswell spiral freehand with a spiral acrylic stem. This is the first pipe I ever bought. Got it new in 2015 before I started hiking the Appalachian Trail. Drying out some other tobacco for a long reading stint in the greenhouse on this 30F afternoon!

My 2011 Boswell w/spiral stem was the first new pipe I ever bought.

Loaded up some Drexel in a meerschaum bent billiard with some Sol Mexican lager to drink. First time trying this blend. Was shipped to me in the pouch and also sealed in cellophane. The pouch dated 11/29/17. A wonderful VaPer. Burned cool and gave all the flavors you'd expect, but was sweeter than most that I've had and the Perique was much more fruit than pepper.drexal meer.jpg

And how long a tin will last!
@didimauw I'd like to have another attempt at finding out how long I can make a clay pipe of baccy last but I've smoked it all for now and can't keep smoking pipeweed until it kills me!
Need to get some more twist or St Bruno first; I need to find out how to pack my pipe so it stays lit, doesn't burn like gunpowder and allows enough oxygen between the tobacco fibres...

A fan of Cherrywoods, black & tan rusticated pipes, and Mark Tinsky, I couldn’t help but pounce on this trade offer from @badbriar and I’m glad I did.

This thing suits my taste on a number of fronts and I’m happy to add it to the stable. Christening it with some 2018 CRF in this (now) almost uncomfortably hot greenhouse!

It’s only slightly less appealing after learning that @cosmicfolklore makes the stars. I kid, of course.

Thanks, again, Rob!!

I still think you need to take a new clay, and smoke it for an entire year!

@didimauw I've already smoked more than 1 clay this year & broken 2. None broken since Nantwich though:)
I'd still like to be able to make a clay pipe of baccy last as long as possible without it going out until it's all been smoked.
1 clay for a full year would be nicely coloured by the end though...
I need to get some tobacco that stays lit but doesn't burn like gunpowder (or Clan:))!
I admire the guy in this video who says he'd never smoked a pipe before but made his clay last nearly an hour before his last puff of smoke:
If he can do it I'm sure I could give it a go!
