Now that the haze has cleared up a little bit, back to the grindstone!

Baggy note of bbq sauce.

In the pipe: An old scholar's study. Just instinctively, I want to say that this is what mid-level Latakia is. Less spicy on the retrohale than B was, which is proving a delightful playground for contemplation. Making a conscious effort to detect flavor and aroma, I do get some comfy grassiness, or maybe that's just the pleasant interplay of damp soil with the pipe.
Just now I got a note of That One Friend's Basement Where We Used To Play Diddy Kong Racing On The Nintendo 64, which is another wholly irrelevant note to anyone but myself - but that house always smelled a little like hot peppers, so I suppose imagine the faint aroma of hot peppers that have infused into shag carpet such that what remains is no spice and all vegetal goodness.
I could probably smoke this contentedly all day, and greet any visitors brave enough to dare the English fog with a "You think this is bad? Pathetic!".

I’ve generally separated my pipes by genre of tobacco I smoke in them. Things have slowly evolved over time where I now have enough pipes to be able to assign specific blends to particular pipes, which doesn’t seem like the worst problem to have.
I know I need to start dedicating pipes to tobacco families, etc. but It seems like a pain in the ass. I don’t think I smoke very ghosty things, I may live to regret those words! 😂

Now I'm in trouble, because I have to choose the pipes I want to smoke in the upcoming five weeks. This is the most difficult part of vacation every year. Luxury problems... 😄
i have a half-dozen or so pipes I only smoke on vacation. Mostly inexpensive machine mades. In that way if I lose or break one, it’s no big deal. Last year, I made the mistake of leaving one in my jacket pocket which I placed in the overhead compartment on the plane. Someone put a suitcase on top and the stem broke in the middle. I was happy it wasn't my Teddy Knudsen or S.Bang.

Half way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 127 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'd have posted sooner, but Abner the Eager snuck in the house, and greatly surprised me by jumping on my lap, and taking a snooze. I am amazed that he did that. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
