Wow there are some nice older watches on eBay.
I didn't really need to look at watches on eBay tonight, but here I go....

Well let them out and post them! I'm sure they would be of interest to a few people on here.Since I retired all of my fancy watches are in a drawer somewhere. Exact time is not of interest to me.
Very nice ? What is that red arrow for?this version has a dial made of compressed Western Australian rock; so no two are alike
That has a classic look to it - very niceSea-Gull WuYi,
The red arrow on the Melbourne is the 'GMT' hand; it's a second hour hand that can be set to show GMT or some other time zone if preferred. It's a 24h hand and is read against the digits on the bezel rather than the 12 hour makers on the dial. That picture was taken when I'd just received the box so it wasn't set properly.Well let them out and post them! I'm sure they would be of interest to a few people on here.

Do older Seikos not keep time particularly well? There is quite a few very affordable ones on eBay that have caught my eye.An on the wrist picture of the latest purchase. Same movement as the Seiko 5, this is the most accurate watch from Seiko I have worn.

I'm pulling the trigger tomorrow on one I'm sure of it.Mike, I would never hesitate to buy a Seiko I liked!
...but now you feel yourself sucked into a new hobby/interest?Since I got an iPhone about a dozen years ago, I wore no wrist watch until I got an Apple Watch mostly for the built in EKG, heart rate and blood saturation. So, as chasing noted, I used my iPhone for the time. Well, one exception, when I was reffing lacrosse, I had a Casio like the one didi posted on page 1.
Haha I just mean that you mentioned you never wore a watch before, but since looking at this thread has it piqued an interest in watches? If it's monitoring my health, I guess that's an interest. (not a hobby) Mike, I am not understanding the question, but it's late after a long day.
I have a 10 dollar Timex I bought at Walmart years ago that I wear when working outside.. It is posted on this thread. The most dependable watch I've ever owned. It truly takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
