Gentlemen, my sincere apologies. I have the box still. I was supposed to meet up with Pat and I had to cancel a few times as life got in the way. I have it sitting with my cellar and I simply forgot about it. I believe next on the list is Cavendish so I will ship it via Xpresspost tomorrow. Once again my apologies for letting the gang down and not moving it along in a timely manner.
Brian

This isn't totally on Brian. We've both had life pile up in front of piping lately, and I've had to cancel as many times as he has. Truly sorry to have caused the log-jam. Cav, I hope you enjoy the box. I'll bring some stuff to add to it when we meet up on the 21st for the GTA Burners Swap Meet and pot-luck.
Cheers,
-- Pat

I hope there's a lot of 'saved for Cav' in the box lol. I know I'm going to enjoy all the different leaf in there. Theres a few blends and flakes in there I've wanted to try but haven't pulle the trigger on them in an order due to fear of not liking it and being stuck with it.

I have the box now, and thanks to Brian for bringing it to the Burner Meet today. I will pass it along as soon as I have gone through it.
I am finding it a little difficult to pick up on slight tastes and smells from some of the blends. With having so many different blends in one box they all pretty much smell the same now (like SG Grousemoor and Alsbo Gold). I opened the tin of Grousemoor, took a sniff and almost threw up lol, (same went for Alsbo Gold). Sorry if I offend anyone with my take on it but it smells awful lol!

That Alsbo has been in there for awhile, but the Grousemoor must be new. It wasn't in there when I had the box.
That's why it's real important to not be shy about taking out a few blends when you have the box. I tried to take a few obviously older baggies out and replaced them with newer stuff.

I will try a little of them but I'm pretty sure they are all going to taste like the box smells lol. It smells like a tobacco blending factory lol. There is a couple 4noggins blends I've tried before and when I opened them to smell it didn't smell like it should. I will see when I smoke some but I have a feeling they've been tainted from everything else in there. I will see tomorrow when I start going through it more.

I've had a chance to thoroughly go through the box and I must say. Most of the stuff in there tastes like the box's entire note. I'll be sending the box off to the next person this weekend but I was told someone didn't want it and I forgot who it was. I had a very close friend visit me for about 10min last weekend and he is interested in pipe smoking he looked in the box and he asked if he could have one of the pipes and try some baccy. I obliged (hope it's alright, he's like a brother to me) and he said a big thanks and to let everyone know he would be checking out the site.

Hey Cav. Not sure what other pipes were in there, but if it was the Grabow pot or Kaywoodie bulldog that I put in, I'm totally cool with your pal taking the pipe. They're there to be used and enjoyed, and if they bring someone new to the hobby, then so much the better.

I think it was a Grabow. I know it had a metal mount of some kind and some carving on the bowl. I'm pretty sure when he gets back home he is going to be bitten by the bug lol.

Ok, I've finally had enough time to go through my stuff and add to the box. I threw in about 3oz of Petersons Irish Whiskey, 4oz Altadis 1M, and 2oz McC's Yenidje Highlander. I double bagged them in hopes they wouldn't be tainted from everything else in the box. I didn't think to snap any pics of the box and listing all of it would've took quite some time. I PM'ed hunter with the tracker and stuff
Sorry for the long delay, I've been busy with family, work and hunting and finding time to sit down and go through the box was done on several small occasions. It was interesting to see everything and sample alot of stuff. I hope everyone enjoys it when they get it!

Hi guys been thinking of ordering some bulk tobacco from Smokingpipes.com or 4noggins.com was wondering if any of you have tried importing tobacco from these places and how your experiences have been? Tried to contact my local B&M shop here in Montreal but the price they charge for 50gr bulk tobacco is the same as if I purchased tin tobacco $25.
The online sites suggest that to avoid drawing attention from the tax man I should order no more then 8oz or 200gr of tobacco. The price is right but I want to know if any of you had any problems with the importation taxes of your favorite tobacco?
