Give Maxim a shout at pipes2smoke. He may be able to find what you're looking for.I only have that gift for Petersons, particularly Petersons I’m not looking to add to my collection
Well I haven’t been able to track down the right 33 and I’d love any help I can get.
What I’m looking for is a 33 something like the proportions below except in an Old Antiquari finish and the size would be sub-130mm length and sub-50g.

I’ve found 33s in the size I’ve been looking for but often their shanks are too short, like these ones from Novelli and Corti, respectively.

Lovely examples Mike. Here are a pair of Castello Princes (24 shape, but with a straight stem). They were a collaboration between Castello and Sykes Wilford/SmokingPipes.com. Each comes with two stems: boxwood and the traditional black acrylic. Interestingly, one of the boxwood stems is inlaid with the Castello “bar” in white, and the other has a “dot” (a tweak at Dunhill?).
There were 20 of these boxwood stem Prince-shape pipes first introduced in 2021. The smooth is stamped “03.20“ and the rusticated one is stamped “11.20 Old Antiquari.”
Which stem do you prefer?

Very Nice! Perfect Lines to my eye, Awesome Blast! The shape 23 is an iconic Castello shape.View attachment 344854
My first Castello and first expensive pipe purchase. Something about Castello just grabbed me and I’ve got a mild obsession growing for them. Just smoked it for the first time today and had a great session with a couple of coins of Escudo.
Thank you! When I saw that first one I thought that the proportions are lovely but it’s too heavy for me. If the bowl were less girth I’d imagine it would come in under 50g.Hmm maybe these… I know these aren’t Old Antiquari… But they nice looking.

The Collection shank is a little short relative the size of the bowl. On the Aristocrata I don’t love the plateau but everything else works. But the biggest problem with both of the pipes is my wallet
Thanks, I’ll do that!Oh my bad the first one is Old Antiquari…
Oh, you could always email Luca at Tabaccheria Corti, and tell him exactly what you are looking for, and if possible Castello is able to make it for you. He says he goes all the time to the Castello factory and hand picks out pipes for their business.
Thanks! That’s definitely the show side, the other is a little lumpy but I like that it’s a bit odd and the carver worked around that awesome grain to feature it.Very Nice! Perfect Lines to my eye, Awesome Blast! The shape 23 is an iconic Castello shape.

It's too bad the occhio di pernice from Corti isn't your size because the birdseye is pretty rare, especially for a KK. I've seen KKKKs that were much less intricate and symmetrical. The pipe is a tad short for me but compared to most of the Castellos I have, 44gm is on the light side.Well I haven’t been able to track down the right 33 and I’d love any help I can get.

Yeah I’ve gone back and forth on it a few times but have held the line (so far). The shank length is just an aesthetic preference I still really love the pipe as is. But it would be my most expensive pipe by a large margin so I’ve told myself that if I’m going to spend that much it should probably be a pipe that (in my eyes) is perfect. But I’m still checking on it regularly so it might convince me yet. It's too bad the occhio di pernice from Corti isn't your size because the birdseye is pretty rare, especially for a KK. I agree with your priority. A beautiful pipe you don't enjoy smoking is a waste and once you smoke it you can't recover the cost. I have a few of those.Yeah I’ve gone back and forth on it a few times but have held the line (so far). The shank length is just an aesthetic preference I still really love the pipe as is. That one is in my "saved" list as wellYeah I’ve gone back and forth on it a few times but have held the line (so far). For my eye I like the 23’s I likest my women short and chubby! Love the big fat bowl with a perfectly proportioned tapered shank through the stem. I don’t like them stretched out. They are hard to find!but have you tried a shorter pipe like that? [/USER]
Yeah I absolutely love pipes of that size, both the look and function! My favorite is a Dunhill 320 but I've got several others that I really enjoy. That one is in my "saved" list as well
Just curious, and I hear you on the aesthetic piece for sure... but have you tried a shorter pipe like that? I have one that I really like, and to me it doesn't seem short when I smoke it. Also, perceived weight is a function of weight + length, all else equal...
But I also agree with @dunnyboy, if it seems off to you then probably don't do it
Nice pipe. And it looks good on yuh!My first Castello. A castello "castello" KK made most importantly in 2016 when my daughter was born. I haven't smoked it yet but once I find a virginia perique blend that works for me since Escudo changed their recipie and it bites my toung now, this pipe will be dedicated to itView attachment 345460
