I took delivery of two new to me GG/GGG65’s from a member of my pipe family and I was unexpectedly surprised with these very unique pieces from another good friend. The le Dune G67 is very unique. I’ve never seen another with a carving anything like it. The Pi tamper has very Epoca like drips and under carving. Both very unique and special to me!
That is a unique Le Dune carving. I have a few but none like that one. Very nice.

Thanks Dave

I've been eyeing this big U shaped tobacco bucket, but I'd hate to buy it and find that I seldom used it

*lovely turn of phrase btw
I would definitely look at the estates market. For approximately the same price (or several hundred less) there is a large unsmoked Castello pipe in a very unique (and to me stunning) shape on smokingpipes.com. If you don't want a dublin, there is a nice great line cherrywood shape, that has a rounded chamber. I have one exactly like this and it's one of my best smokers. There is also an unsmoked humongous shape 55, a Castello classic.

Question- do the 44s always have a saddle stem? Can anyone post a 33 and 44 together?
Here is a 44 with taper stem. As @briarblues notes it is a biggie

Here are a pair of Castello Princes (24 shape, but with a straight stem). They were a collaboration between Castello and Sykes Wilford/SmokingPipes.com. Each comes with two stems: boxwood and the traditional black acrylic. Interestingly, one of the boxwood stems is inlaid with the Castello “bar” in white, and the other has a “dot” (a tweak at Dunhill?).

There were 20 of these boxwood stem Prince-shape pipes first introduced in 2021. The smooth is stamped “03.20“ and the rusticated one is stamped “11.20 Old Antiquari.”

Which stem do you prefer?

I like the look of the boxwood stems but I think I would keep them in reserve and smoke the acrylic ones. Mind you, I like the look of all your Castellos!

Both pipes look sharp. I prefer the boxwood on the smooth though

I did not know much about boxwood, so I did a little research:

“Dense and stable, yet easy to work, the use of boxwood for turning and making musical instruments has been recorded as far back as 2000 years ago. Its tight uniform texture makes boxwood an absolute dream to turn.” Workshop Heaven website.

Well I haven’t been able to track down the right 33 and I’d love any help I can get.

What I’m looking for is a 33 something like the proportions below except in an Old Antiquari finish and the size would be sub-130mm length and sub-50g.

I’ve found 33s in the size I’ve been looking for but often their shanks are too short, like these ones from Novelli and Corti, respectively.

If you see one that might fit my description, let me know!

bottom two are certainly more billiard-y than Canadianesqe. If anyone can find a certain pipe it's you ;)
