Nordiques were a fun team to watch for sure, and yes the Leafs have been terrible for all but 10 years of my life. From 92 to 2002 they were decent, never won anything, but they won more playoff rounds than any other team in the NHL over that period of time and 4 Conference finals. Not much to cheer about for sure. Oh well, Sens & Pens will be interesting to see if Ottawa can pull another rabbit out of their hat and whether the Pens just needed to get into the 2nd round to settle into their game. Should be a complete non-contest on paper, but looking at how Ottawa played last round I'd say the Pens have to be concerned.

True story: It's the playoffs. If we've learned anything from the Buds/Bruins series it's that "anything can happen."

Relative of the wife (and my youngest son's godfather) plays for the Rangers, so that determines my loyalty (at least since my beloved Oilers are no where to be seen).

I can cheer for Edmonton, Calgary or Winnipeg but it's against the law to cheer for the Senators in Southern Ontario and I really shouldn't need to explain about the Habs. As for Vancouver, I couldn't have agreed with the LA Kings tweet after they took out the Canucks last year in the first round "Canada......you're welcome!" How can you cheer for a team with Bieksa, Burrows, Kessler and GM Mike Gillis on it? I mean I cheered for Boston two years ago and for the Ducks in 2007. As a Leafs fan you get used to cheering for other teams come the playoffs.

5- The last category is a potpourri category involving hated players. If Matt Cooke gets traded to Dallas, then Dallas must lose. Notables on this list have included Pronger, Pominville, Niedermayer, Tucker, etc.
This one is funny, but I also severely dislike Pronger and Niedermayer and hope their teams lose.
I've been a Red Wing fan since they were refered to as the Dead Wings. I didn't expect them to get by the Ducks and I don't expect them to get by Chicago, but........ Let's go Red Wings!!!!!!!

The Caps say they want to use this logo next year, but the Leafs say they had dibs first.

Hail to the King! Back to back shutouts. I was nervous all day because the Rangers haven't been scoring lately and I hate Game 7's with the Rangers. Next up, the Bruins after the Leafs choked big time tonight.

OMG! Can't believe that Boston/Toronto game! Right before the comeback down 4-1 I was talking with a friend and noted that this year's team just doesn't have what 2011 had with going into a third period down and dominating to a win in the dying minutes of the game. I'm so glad I was wrong! If we end up winning the Cup that game will be the reason why. My hats off to the Leafs though. Those young kids played a damn good series and definitely left it all on the ice. Nothing to hang their heads about. A great learning experience and they did a lot more than anyone expected them to. Bring on the Rangers!

That Rangers/Caps game was pretty crazy. Didn't think the Caps would implode like that. Hanky played a hell of a game though. He's pretty easily the best tendy in the game today.
Next round should be a good matchup with the B's and Blueshirts.

Rangers vs. Bruins should be a good series.
It's amazing that this is the first time in 40 years that these 2 teams are playing each other in the playoffs.
Let's Go Rangers!
