Smoking my lattice meer today. Tried to get a good shot of the light coming through the lattice.
I have a commission coming soon from Ahmet Govem. A medium smooth straight billiard. I’ll post pictures when it arrives.
Amazing as it seems, I'm smoking this fellow at work.
IMP and Deep Hollow were calling - only smoke this blend in this pipe, not that other blends are excluded, but this one works in the Meer and why mess with a good thing. So now on the board in March.

My mom has a tattoo on her back of an owl that she’s named ‘Hootsie’. Looks almost exactly like this pipe.
I’ll be loading up this Beckler tonight to get working on some color this month, and probably swap the smaller one into my truck for my morning smokes.

It's amazing to me how popular the lattice designs are. I seem to see more of them than anything else...I know Altinay makes a lot of them too.
It just goes to show there's no accounting for taste, because I've never cared much for it. I don't strongly dislike it, but it just doesn't appeal to me very much. In the classic shapes I mainly prefer smooth...or sometimes a rusticated finish.

I hated the idea of a lattice pipe at first. Then I saw one latticed, old, beautifully colored, hard smoked meer, and just had to have one. One picture was all it took.
Meers are great. They've steered me away from briar (mostly).
Same here! I do miss my briars a bit, but just looking at pictures helps. Sometimes I'll go and pick up my briars, even though I can't smoke em untill December.

Tonight's smoke is in the Yanik Celtic Knot. This thing is a carving marvel, and is a pleasure to hold.

That is IMP. It’s got a really nice pink hue that I just can’t get on camera, need to try taking a picture of it outside on a bright day to see if it picks it up.

Yanik is a true artist. Below is an example of what he can do. It is one currently on his site, and is way out of my price range. It's not really one I would want anyway, but it really demonstrates his talent.
